Seeing all of these parents in our favorite movies has us thinking about other characters who never had children of their own. Who would measure up to the other Disney and Pixar parents? We've taken a look at them and gathered a list of the best possible mothers and fathers. Here are some of those characters that would be amazing parents:

Mike and Sully

Mike and Sully are best friends, business partners, and they make a pretty good team of sudden babysitters! The two main monsters of Monsters Inc (2001) found themselves the temporary guardians of a small child, whom they call Boo when she wanders from the human world into the monster world.

Things got off to a bit of a rocky start. Sully threw pieces of cereal to Boo from across the room because he was scared of her, and he expected her to sleep in some newspapers on the floor. After a day though, things started looking up, and Mike and Sully worked together to keep Boo safe and get her back home. We're not too sure what monster children are like, but if anyone could wrangle them, it would be these guys.

Snow White

The princess from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937) didn't have the opportunity to take care of children, but the little men she stumbled upon in the woods might as well have been because they needed assistance in several different areas of their lives.

Snow White cleaned up the cottage, cooked the men a pie, made them wash for dinner, and took care of them. Who knows what they were doing before she came along! We never get to find out if Snow White and the prince who rescued her had children, but clearly Snow White could handle at least seven!

Carl

In one of the saddest moments in Pixar history, we learn that Carl and Ellie, the sweet couple from Up (2009), are unable to have children. Still, they seem to have a great marriage as they grow old together. It isn't until after Ellie es that Carl meets a small boy named Russell.

We don't really find out why, but for some reason, Russell's dad isn't there for him as much as Russell would like, and he looks up to Carl as a father figure. We see them bond together on their adventure, and then Carl is there for Russell's pinning ceremony. After that, they sit together eating ice cream cones and counting cars. Why couldn't Carl have been blessed with children?!

Timon and Pumbaa

Timon and Pumbaa with Simba in The Lion King

Poor Simba from The Lion King (1994) practically becomes an orphan after his uncle tells him to run away from the lion pride and never return. Luckily, a small meerkat and his buddy the warthog soon find Simba alone and ed out. They immediately take the cub under their wings, teaching him how to find food and showing him their home.

He's welcome to stay, and from then on, Timon and Pumbaa raised the little lion to an adult. We get a few glimpses into what child-rearing was like for them in The Lion King 1 1/2 (2004). For all intents and purposes, we're going to call them parents, but Timon and Pumbaa would have been awesome at raising biological children too.

Andy

We mainly see Andy as a young child in the Toy Story movies, the first of which came out in 1995. However, in Toy Story 3 (2010), we get to see Andy as a college-aged man. He still has a soft spot in his heart for his toys, and he gives his old ones to a young girl named Bonnie.

Bonnie is shy at first, but Andy starts to play with the toys and help her come out of her shell. It was a sweet moment, and it solidified our belief that Andy would be an amazing dad. Maybe for Toy Story 5, we'll get to see him get married and have children of his own!

Peter Pan

We know, we know, Peter Pan is technically not an adult, so he wouldn't be a good candidate for a parent in that regard. However, if he ever grows up, he definitely would be a great contender! Peter Pan had his own movie in 1953, and while he is somewhat of a child himself, he definitely set himself apart from the others as a leader.

He not only takes care of the Darlings as he leads them on an adventure, but he also acts as a sort of big brother to the lost boys who look up to him. He protects the boys and the Darling children, even putting himself in danger. He most likely will never grow up though, so we probably won't see him become a parent!

Dory

We all the goofy blue tang from Finding Dory (2016) (even if she may not ), and she's been a well-loved character since the beginning. In the first movie, she doesn't hesitate to follow Marlin on his quest to rescue his son, and she gets very invested in her own way.

We see what a dedicated father Marlin is, and in turn, Dory shares similar feelings, even if she hadn't met Nemo yet. In the second movie, we get to see them interact a bit more, and it's clear that they have a great relationship. If Dory ever finds the love of her life, she would surely be a good mother to her fish babies.

Nani

Nani is the older sister in 2002's Lilo and Stitch, and she happens to be the legal guardian of little Lilo. While the social worker from the movie may be doubting Nani's capability in regard to taking care of Lilo, we all know that she’s the best big sister in the world.

Nani is always looking out for Lilo, doing what’s best for her, and we’re sure that Nani would go to the ends of the earth to save her sister from danger. She would definitely be the best parent she could be with her own kids if she ever decides to have any.

Edna Mode

Edna Mode

When The Incredibles came out in 2004, Ms. Edna Mode stood out from the rest of the characters from the film. She’s funny, clever, and very talented. In 2018 short, Auntie Edna, we get to see just how good she is with kids when she babysits the youngest Incredible child, Jack-Jack.

Things start out well, but they quickly become chaotic as the baby teleports around the room and eventually multiplied before Edna’s eyes. Still, Edna maintains her composure, for the most part, and is able to take care of Jack-Jack for the night. She may not be a Super, but she would surely be a super mother with the best-dressed baby in town!

Baloo

Baloo and Mowgli in The Jungle Book

Things start out a bit rough for Mowgli of The Jungle Book (1967) as he becomes an orphan and must be raised by a mother wolf. Soon his current habitat becomes too dangerous as a man-eating tiger comes to the area, but luckily, a friendly bear named Baloo is here to help!

He takes young Mowgli and promises to take good care of him and keep the boy safe. The jungle is not always an easy place to live, and Baloo has some difficulty keeping Mowgli out of trouble. Still, we believe that he has the potential to be the best father in the jungle.
