How I met your mother gets a lot of hate for the finale but I think they did one thing that was awesome. Yes, I didn’t like that Ted ends up with Robin in the end, but the fact that the mom was dead to me it was an amazing twist. It comes out of left field, but it makes so much sense. That’s the reason why he’s telling his kids the story of how he met their mother genius. It makes so much sense but you don’t see it coming. The Robin part is what I could do without the fact that the mom is dead to me was great writing, and it makes the other parts of the last season hit harder in a rewatch because you know his time is limited with mother. And they had great chemistry. She’s an amazing actress. Look at what she did in the penguin who would’ve thought. It’s another Malcolm in the middle situation with her but that’s a different story.
