What's going on with the Dragonriders of Pern adaptation?

It's been ten years since we've heard anything about The Dragonriders. It would be a perfect franchise series, TV or Movies. I would love to see Mennoly and Robinton come to life on screen. The technology is here now that can truly bring the Fire lizards, the Dragons and the Dolphins to life. Like LoTR, I and millions of others who read these stories never imagined that that they could be brought to the screen, then along comes Peter Jackson and gives us the the LoTR and the Hobbit with all the characters we love. Would someone please finance The Dragonriders of Pern and make it as real as these others.

Why would anyone think Leonard is dead? There is absolutely no reason to mention him in Young Sheldon, they don't meet for years and the story is all about the pre move to California. ⁉

Does Wicked look too desaturated?

People should watch the original (?) Judy Garland movie which starts out in black and white (very common in those days) but when arriving in Oz, suddenly everything is in technicolour. This had a lot more impact then than it would today, but the fact that colouring in books, cartoons and comics used to lean more on the primary colours I can understand the directors choice in this.

Or change the Title - 'Rookies No Longer' or 'Nolan' or end the series on a high.
