The fear of the comedy not landing is not a factor. They played on the taboo of defacing his classiness and daring flamboyant virtue as a character.( It was considered funny because they intentionally degraded his charm).

Classically he has a razor sharp wit and perilous calm that combines a piercing thousand yard stare focus with an *overman child* smile that indicates he's ready for a tussle with death against all odds at any time when he's in his resting state. He has with confidence covered every contingency regarding his authentic sacrifice even unto threat of personal suffering and death and he always holds back his Ace of Spades because he challenges himself to master victory with every other card knowing his Ace is an automatic end game victory in any feasible circumstance. He's a silent obscure character whose presence is felt by most as unseen game changing generator that drains the desire of those powered by lesser motivation. You'll only see him when the time is right and everyone present knows him with confidence or with an unnerving sense of familiarity they can't quite place as if he's a no body but he may be the last thing they fear that day.

There is no reason going forward why his character shouldn't be even more rightly, highly anticipated. They can only go up. His introduction was silly and kind of disgusting actually with his shining moment being his willingness to go out with a bang as opposed to a whimper.

He's the guy that no one on the other side is concerned about until it's too late. He's similar to an Air Marshall. When the time comes everyone (even allies are blown away) because his purpose seems so irrelevant and irrational until it isn't, which, if everything goes the way it should ( good and right and just ) he will maintain a perception of irrelevance because he's just, hanging around.

They didn't ruin it at all! This is going to be an adventure that will forge bonds of brotherhood and a quest for rare gems of virtues that are only revealed in persecution and trials of severity. They have a chance to forge a new understanding of the standard of spirit!

I don't think it's proper to label him a villain. It will be a situation of tremendous difficulty to associate with and work without running a foul of the highest known cosmic spiritual standard and responsibility and honor the regard for less powerful and incapable beings in a symphony of preservation, Liberty and Advancement without committing an unjust offense or intrusion in the entire fabric of all realities and orders.

I think he is going to be capable of or at least have a more accurate view of how that is possible but the heroes with the same goal won't have the same understanding or may actually be a threat to prevent what he knows trying to do what they know and believe to be their sacred duty and oath though based on a less informed understanding of the battle lines of a higher dimensional map. They will be on the same team but in each other's way with high pressure time constraints preventing the proper cooperation that would be possible and desired by all charged with the protection of the areas that have now been forced a closer interaction of responsibility and interests. He will be misunderstood at least.

I don't know if they will tie this in the project but he actually is supposed to have ed a junction that results in the destruction of all that isn't truly pure of heart. And basically almost all of him survived it indicating that he believes he is absolutely doing the right thing with every fiber of his being. I expect a difficult but absolutely stunning and epic story. I think it'll be a circumstance that the positive individuals he risks running a foul would likely make the same decisions in his shoes even though it'll be a situation they would have avoided if possible out of code of honor. I'm going to assume it'll be like Washington having to accept a life term as president when he absolutely resents it but will have to do the best possible job at it for the greater good.
