Silver Solider Anby (also known as Soldier 0 Anby or SS Anby) is set to take over as the premier Electric DPS in Zenless Zone Zero with her build. She continues the trend of lower-rank characters in HoYoverse games getting a top-rank variant; this should inspire hope that other fan favorites like Nicole and Billy will see similar treatment in the future. Though these upgraded variants can sometimes change a character element, in this situation Anby is staying with Electric.
Silver Soldier Anby is a fast-paced Attack unit that plays around the new Aftershock gimmick, which is similar to follow-up attacks from HSR. Her kit largely revolves around the Silver Star mark that she can apply to enemies with her Special Attack. This not only increases her critical stats through her ive, but allows her to build White Thunder stacks when attacking them. These stacks will trigger Aftershock damage, and, when activated three times, will trigger an even bigger Aftershock attack.

Best W-Engine For Silver Soldier Anby
A Signature Well Worth The Investment
As usual, the best engine for SS Anby will be her signature, Severed Innocence. This engine is a great stat stick for gaining critical damage, with 48% base from reaching level 60, and another 30% from the ive. Along with this, whenever SS Anby uses a basic, special, or Aftershock attack, she will gain a stacking buff to three that increases her critical damage by 10% each. When all three stacks are achieved, the will get 20% more Electric damage.
This engine, while effective for most Electric DPS units, is such a massive bonus that it is worth the investment. This may also be the case due to the lack of other significant options. The only other S-Rank engine that would benefit SS Anby would be The Brimstone, but this lacks any critical stats. Haramusa's Zenshin Herb Case can work, but it will largely be a stat stick with no beneficial ive bonuses.
For A-Rank options, Drill Rig - Red Axis, Gilded Blossom, and Marcato Desire are the best fits. Marcato Desire is a great base engine to give a little bit of a critical rate, while buffing Attack. Gilded Blossom gives a healthy amount of Attack%, while buffing damage from EX Special Attacks, which will be a lot of her damage. Lastly, Drill Rig - Red Axis will give 50% Electric Damage boosts to basic attacks for 10 seconds when hitting with an EX Special Attack.
Best Drive Disc For Silver Soldier Anby
A New Set To Farm For Aftershock Agents
Silver Soldier Anby will benefit most from the new Shadow Harmony Disc set. This set was built for Aftershock agents, giving a 15% damage buff to them and Dash Attacks at two pieces. Meanwhile, at four, the will get stacking Attack and Critical Rate buffs when hitting with these specific attacks that match the 's Attribute. The best two-piece set to pair with this would be Thunder Metal for more Electric damage.
The alternative option would be to go four-piece Thunder Metal and substitute the extra two-piece with Shadow Harmony for the 15% damage buff, or Hormone Punk for 10% Attack. However, this combo will be less damage and not as strong of a fit as a full Shadow Harmony. Thus, this option will be best for those who have good Discs lying around and would rather not farm to get new Drive Discs in Zenless Zone Zero.
Stat-wise, SS Anby will follow the usual DPS builds, but have some options depending on whether she has her signature or not. This is because of the massive difference her signature has when compared to all the other options. For sub-stats, look for critical rate, critical damage, and Attack%. The last stat is up to you.

Best Teams For Silver Solider Anby
Options Are Both Limited And Rigid
Silver Soldier Anby has a small handful of good teams, but her best one will be costly. This includes the two new agents, Pulchra for Stun and Trigger (coming later in 1.6 as ). These two are currently the only other units with Aftershock attacks, making them the most compatible with SS Anby. However, replacing Pulchra with a more traditional stun unit like Qingyi and her best builds, which would bring the benefit of larger stun windows, could work better for some.
While the first unit of SS Anby's new damage type is a benefit to her appeal, it also limits her usage. She won't fit into many, if any, dual-DPS teams due to how much time she wants and the nature of her damage.
There are some options for those who don't want Trigger or a replacement until their banner drops. The most obvious two are Astra Yao and her best builds, or Caesar King. Astra Yao is inarguably the best in the game, offering plenty of Attack buffs while enabling a quick-swap style of play that many DPS enjoy. Caesar is an alternative safe option that sacrifices some offensive potential for an easy-to-restore shield that can essentially allow players to ignore incoming damage.
Otherwise, Silver Solider Anby is not very flexible. While the first unit of this new damage type is a benefit to her appeal, it also limits her usage. She won't fit into many, if any, dual-DPS teams due to how much time she wants and the nature of her damage. Though she can have some makeshift teams, they won't feel as smooth and powerful as her best team, which is an unfortunately high investment for all of 1.6.

How Zenless Zone Zero Can Avoid Honkai: Star Rail’s Power Creep
With HoYoverse games like Honkai: Star Rail running into power creep issues, Zenless Zone Zero has the time and potential to avoid such problems.
Overall, Silver Soldier Anby is a strong new DPS whose time hasn't fully come yet in Zenless Zone Zero. With the right investment and correct build, she will be strong, but that is a big ask for the majority of players. There is a good chance future characters will help her even more, but that could be awhile, if ever.
