In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link has the opportunity to build a house of his own - but with so many options to choose from, it can be difficult to decide which rooms to implement first. To gain access to the property, players will first need to complete the "Mattison's Independence" side quest in Tarrey Town, then purchase the lot for 1500 rupees. Once they've officially done so (and completed the tutorial with Granteson), they'll be free to construct the house to their heart's desire. With rooms costing a pretty penny themselves, though, players should take care to buy the best rooms for Link's house first.
Those who played Breath of the Wild may that Link bought a cottage in Hateno Village, and thus may be confused as to why he doesn't simply return home. It turns out that Link is seemingly no longer the owner of the Hateno house - or that he's sharing it with Princess Zelda. Upon visiting the house, players will discover a number of clues suggesting Zelda's residence there, such as a diary and different decor. The Hateno House is just one of several details hinting that Zelda and Link are dating in TOTK, and so players should strive to build the best house possible, for both of their sakes.
8 Flower Bed
Link can't do any landscaping around his house, but he can still show off his green thumb by building a Flower Bed in Tears of the Kingdom. As showcased by King-X on YouTube, the outdoor room features a collection of mismatched planters and live greenery, but sadly, it can't be interacted with. Link can't actually choose to grow any plants or flowers, nor can he water or trim the plants that have been pre-planted into their respective containers. However, the Flower Bed can still add a pleasant touch of nature to his lawn or even his roof, which makes it a worthwhile purchase (even if just for the aesthetic).
7 Garden Pond
Similarly, the Garden Pond is another room that players will likely build purely for visual purposes. The small pool is uniquely L-shaped, and it contains clear, calm water, which can add an element of relaxation to any house build in Tears of the Kingdom. It has an advantage over the Flower Bed, since it actually contains a live Sanke Carp that swims around. The Sanke Carp respawns indefinitely, so it's up to players to decide whether they'd like to eat it or keep it around as a pet. Unfortunately, it's impossible to add any additional fish into the pond - at least, not any live ones.
6 Gallery
Players can certainly get creative in the newest Zelda game through experimenting with unique Fuse combinations or deadly Ultrahand builds in Tears of the Kingdom, but those wanting to express their creativity through photography should invest in a Gallery.
The room is capable of displaying one, large picture, which players can choose from their own in-game images taken by the Camera. Simply showing Granteson the desired image will cause it to pop up in the Gallery, and so it goes without saying that the possibilities are endless.
5 Stand Room
Throughout his adventures in Hyrule, Link is bound to come across some of the coolest new shields, bows, and weapons in Tears of the Kingdom, and the Stand Rooms can help him flaunt his discoveries. Players can purchase a Weapon Stand Room, Shield Stand Room, or Bow Stand Room - or any combination of the three - and then choose to display three of the associated items on stands therein.
Obviously, it's impossible to wield a weapon that's on display, so they'll need to choose armaments that they aren't planning on using anytime soon. Still, the three Stand Rooms are some of the best rooms for Link's house in TOTK, since they bring both fashion and function to the table with their highly customizable nature and storage purposes.
4 Paddock
Horses are also highly valuable equine companions in TOTK, which makes the Paddock another great investment for Link's house. Essentially acting as a small, personal stable, Granteson can call any one of the protagonist's boarded horses to the Paddock. The room allows players to keep a close eye on their favorite horse safe in the comfort of their own home, which will be a no-brainer for horse lovers or any players wanting to show off a Tears of the Kingdom.
3 Kitchen
While not the most exciting or visually appealing location, the Kitchen is one of the best rooms for Link's house in TOTK nonetheless. As players may expect, the room contains a cooking pot for Link to take advantage of at any time, allowing him to make a delicious meal or a powerful elixir whenever he so desires. With the Kitchen, the days of having to travel to town and share a communal cauldron are long gone, and players will be able to make their food in peace and quiet.
2 Blessing Room
On the other hand, the Blessing Room is one of the most exciting rooms available for Link's house in TOTK. By incorporating this simple room into their build, players can gain access to their very own Goddess Statue, which they can pray to at any time in order to use their Light of Blessings. While the Kitchen might ultimately see more frequent use than the Blessing Room, it's hard to deny the sheer cool factor of players having a personal Goddess Statue at their disposal.
1 Bedroom
However, the best room for Link's house in Tears of the Kingdom is the Bedroom. While simple and not overly lavish, the room is invaluable to any player, as it lets them get a night's rest for free (apart from the purchase price, of course). Instead of having to spend rupees at an inn, the Hero of Hyrule can instead sleep like a king in his own personal quarters, then wake up the next day feeling refreshed with extra health points.
Players will still need to head to an inn to sleep in a Deluxe Bed, the Rito-Down Bed, or Malanya's Bed, but Bedroom is a worthwhile investment nonetheless. It eliminates the price of a standard inn service forever, which makes the Bedroom a win-win situation and the best room for Link's house in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
