Video games are often full of easter eggs and hidden surprises, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, are no different. One little hidden detail within the Zelda BotW and TotK realms is an NPC who bears a striking resemblance to the late, great Robin Williams. Fans of both Zelda and Robin Williams are eager to find the NPC so they can feel the magic of Robin Williams once more.
Robin Williams was a comedian and actor, but more than that, he was also a father, husband, friend, and longtime fan of the Zelda series. He and his daughter, who Williams named after the princess and namesake of the franchise, appeared in a commercial advertising Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. To have his memory living on through an NPC in Hyrule is a must-see for any Zelda or Robin Williams fan. However, where you find his NPC is different in BotW and TotK.

Easily Missed Zelda: BOTW Discovery Leads To Theory On Why Some Zora Are Green
One fan questions why Muzu, an elder Zora in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is green, and the answer might take us back in time to ancient Hyrule history.
How To Find Robin Williams In BOTW
Dayto Is The Most Commonly Agreed Upon Robin Williams NPC
There are a few possible tributes to Robin Williams in BotW, and some fans are divided on whether they’re a nod to the actor or not. Yet, there’s one NPC candidate who fans mostly agree shares an uncanny resemblance to Robin Williams. The NPC in question is Dayto, a traveler found near the Foothill Stable in the Eldin Canyon.
Robin Williams had been a fan of the Zelda series since 1987, when he first played the original Zelda game.
To reach the Foothill Stable, you can familiar Death Mountain, Cephla Lake, and the Maw of Death Mountain. Once at the stable, Dayto, the Robin Williams lookalike, can be found wandering the path just below the stable.
How To Find Robin Williams In TOTK
Dayto's Location Is Different In TOTK
Tears of the Kingdom also pays tribute to Robin Williams through Dayto. However, Dayto is no longer near the Foothill Stable. Instead, you can find him working at YunoboCo Headquarters. Dayto getting a job at YunoboCo HQ is surprising, to say the least, given that his initial appearance in BotW was him being indecisive, worried about enemies, and concerned about the heat.
To find Dayto in TotK, head to YunoboCo HQ, which can be found north of Goron City, or east of Darunia Lake. Head inside the HQ to find Dayto working behind the counter, selling fire-resistant gear. You can also sell items to Dayto in exchange for rupees. While buying from Dayto is helpful to Link’s adventure, it’s also quite special to know that Robin Williams lives forever within the Zelda: Breath of the Wild universe.
