These Jedi Younglings have learned a lot already, but there’s plenty more for them to discover about the Force, the Jedi, and the galaxy as they continue to grow.

Though the show is primarily aimed at young children, the animated series provides a lot of great content for vewers of all ages, too, as it includes familiar characters such as Master Yoda, as well as High Republic favorites like Master Loden Greatstorm and his Padawan, Bell Zettifar. The end of Young Jedi Adventures season 1 folded into the main story of Star Wars: The High Republic, meaning there’s a lot of joy (and heartache) still to come in season 2.

It's likely Lucasfilm will follow a similar approach to season1, with staggered releases of multiple episodes across the year.

The first trailer for Young Jedi Adventures season 2 teases major returning characters, including Bell Zettifar, a Padawan from the books. Although this will still be aimed at younger viewers, it's likely some of the adventures will be a lot more risky this time.

The Story Of Young Jedi Adventures Season 2 Will Be A Lot Darker

The end of Young Jedi Adventures season 1 showed the opening ceremony for Starlight Beacon, a space station situated in the Outer Rim that was meant to help the furthest reaches of the galaxy connect with the Core Worlds. This reveal means that the show is heading into dangerous territory. Once Starlight Beacon becomes operational, a group of marauders known as the Nihil begin to pillage and wreak havoc across the galaxy, targeting both the Jedi and the Republic and eventually destroying Starlight Beacon entirely.

The Nihil have already been featured in Young Jedi Adventures season 1 while trying to steal a Jedi ship, so they’ll likely be featured even more in Young Jedi Adventures season 2. During this time, Master Yoda is traveling the galaxy with a group of Younglings, too, as seen in the High Republic Adventures comic books. As Young Jedi Adventures is made with a specific demographic in mind, Kai, Lys, and Nubs’ story likely won’t become too dark, but the threat of the Nihil will certainly be felt during season 2, should it get the green light.

All the current main characters are returning to the series, including our core trio of Younglings, their teacher, Master Zia, their adventurous pilot friend Nash, and others, too, including their trusty droids, their arch nemesis, a pirate named Taborr, and Master Yoda.
