Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Yellowjackets season 3, episode 10, "Full Circle."

The Yellowjackets' 1990s timeline have gradually shed more light on how the survivors reach this shocking point of dehumanized brutality, but it is not until the season 3 finale that some of the long-running mysteries are answered.

Some of the show's other significant mysteries have been how the teenage survivors find rescue and what some of their visions mean. Bringing other people into the wilderness at the end of Yellowjackets season 3, episode 6, upends the status quo, but it also begins to answer questions about rescue and some of the visions. In the present-day timeline, one of the major questions has been who killed Lottie Matthews (Simone Kessell), and why she was murdered.

5 Who Is Pit Girl?

One Of The Oldest Theories Is Confirmed

Yellowjackets season 3 reveals Pit Girl's identity, and it turns out to be Mari Ibarra (Alexa Barajas). Van Palmer (Liv Hewson) rigs the draw so that Hannah Finch (Ashley Sutton) will pick the Queen of Hearts card, since Hannah is not one of the Yellowjackets. When Shauna Shipman (Sophie Nélisse) suspects that something is off, she changes the order, which saves Hannah from being chosen, and causes Mari to draw the Queen of Hearts card instead.

Season 3, episode 1 foreshadows Mari being Pit Girl when she falls into the pit where Coach Ben Scott (Steven Krueger) found the KUH supplies.

Jackie Taylor's (Ella Purnell) gold heart necklace is placed around Mari's neck, and she is hunted by the rest of the group. Mari takes off her jacket, shoes, and other pieces of clothing and leaves them behind to try and confuse those hunting her. This addresses why Pit Girl is barefoot and wearing minimal clothing in the pilot episode. The diversion does not save Mari, though, and she falls into the pit Travis Martinez (Kevin Alves) put stakes in during a previous episode, and fulfills her destiny as the ill-fated Pit Girl.

4 Who Killed Lottie?

It Wasn't Shauna After All

Lottie's killer is revealed to be Callie Sadecki (Sarah Desjardins). At the beginning of season 3, Callie was fascinated by Lottie, and they seemed to develop the kind of connection that Callie wished she had with her own mother, Shauna (Melanie Lynskey). This connection does not end well, though, as Lottie steals the recording that was sent to Shauna, and when Callie meets with Lottie to retrieve the tape, she ends up killing her.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Ending Explained: How Nat's Bold Decision Sets Up Season 4

Natalie Scattorcio makes a bold decision in the 1990s timeline that ends Yellowjackets season 3 on a major cliffhanger heading into season 4.

Callie does not meet Lottie for the purpose of killing her. However, Callie becomes scared and angry as Lottie talks about her being a child of the wilderness who has "It" inside of her, and that Shauna can never fully love her daughter because she is jealous of her. Callie ends up pushing Lottie down the basement stairs when her fear and anger overwhelm her. She conceals the secret up until the season 3 finale, when Misty Quigley (Christina Ricci) confronts her about it, and Callie then confides in her father, Jeff Sadecki (Warren Kole).

3 Who Is The Antler Queen In The Pilot Episode?

Season 3 Has Been Setting Up This Reveal From The Beginning

The mysterious Antler Queen has appeared in many visions throughout the show, but one of the biggest mysteries has been who the Antler Queen is in the pilot episode. "Full Circle" confirms that it is Shauna, who revels in getting to feel powerful. Season 3 has been building up to this reveal with Shauna's growing influence over the group, along with having Natalie Scattorcio (Sophie Thatcher) dethroned as the leader and being replaced by Shauna.

Shauna's dynamic with Mari throughout season 3 also paves the road to the two of them ultimately taking on the respective roles of Pit Girl and the Antler Queen. From biting Mari to spitting in her soup, Shauna's disdain for Mari has been evident for a while, and she makes no secret of how much she despises her. This leads to Shauna asserting her power as the Antler Queen over Mari, as she not only consumes Mari's flesh, but demands that Mari's hair be given to her.

2 How Did The Yellowjackets Find Rescue?

The Satellite Phone Is The Key

Since the pilot episode, it has been known that some of the Yellowjackets are eventually rescued and make it back to civilization. The exact details of how they were rescued have remained shrouded in mystery until now. While working with Natalie and Van, teenage Misty (Samantha Hanratty) uses the transponder from the plane's black box to fix the broken satellite phone that Hannah, Edwin (Nelson Franklin), and Kodiak (Joel McHale) had with them.

The satellite phone was accidentally broken before Hannah, Edwin, and Kodiak crossed paths with the Yellowjackets.

Hannah and Natalie swap clothing, so during and after the hunt, Shauna assumes Natalie is present. Meanwhile, Natalie actually climbs to a higher point where she is able to make a call with the fixed satellite phone and, after numerous attempts, she makes with a man on the other end of the line. The rescue has not come yet, but the call that Natalie makes through the satellite phone appears to be the key to the Yellowjackets finally escaping the wilderness and making it back to civilization.

1 What Did Akilah's Animal Vision Mean?

Things Do Not End Well For The Animals

Akilah (Nia Sondaya) has experienced many visions during Yellowjackets season 3. One of Akilah's visions saw her discovering that all the village animals had been killed, which understandably devastates Akilah given the close relationship she has with the animals. When teenage Lottie (Courtney Eaton) wants another hunt to happen, Akilah has the idea of mixing poison into the food of the animals and to kill them, thereby making it seem that her vision has come true.

How Akilah's animal vision plays out is another indication that the wilderness does not have any real power beyond the power that Yellowjackets' characters decide to give it.

When the other survivors find Akilah crying over all the dead animals, the sudden lack of food and the vision seemingly coming true provides the justification needed to make another hunt happen. Akilah later confronts Lottie, as she resents how Lottie manipulated her belief in the visions. How Akilah's animal vision plays out is another indication that the wilderness does not have any real power beyond the power that Yellowjackets' characters decide to give it.
