In are labeled Omega level - those with superhuman powers so extreme, they can't be sured in any form. Encoming the franchise's biggest powerhouses - from Jean Grey's Phoenix to the villainous Magneto - the Omega-level label is only possessed by a few dozen characters, those connected to the fundamental building blocks of natural law.

Indeed, many Omega-level mutants directly warp reality, while others can unleash obscene amounts of deadly energy. However, what about physical strength? In superhero comics, throwing a mean right hook is as important as flying across the multiverse, so how does the ranking of Omega-level mutants change when measured according to physical might? Well, here's how.

10 Magneto, aka Max Eisenhart

First Seen in X-Men #1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

Most X-Men fans know Magneto is ridiculously powerful, but even then his true range of abilities is often underestimated. Magneto boasts total control over magnetism, but because magnetism is such a fundamental force in the universe, he also has the power to manipulate forces including gravity, electricity and radiation.

He also boasts the ability to enhance his strength and durability, both by altering the natural laws that govern his body and by using metallic armor to merge his physical and mental abilities. While Magneto rarely uses only his enhanced strength, he's thrown some epic punches in his time, including matching Iron Man blow for blow.

9 Genesis

Introduced in Free Comic Book Day 2020: X-Men/Dark Ages #1 by Jonathan Hickman, Tini Howard and Pepe Larraz

A warrior through and through, Genesis is one of the Marvel Universe's most feared warriors. The former leader of Arakko, Genesis spent centuries ruling over this society of warrior mutants in their battle against the demons of Amenth. Genesis appears to possess superhuman strength and durability, and is considered stronger than her husband, the uber-villain Apocalypse. She's also a skilled sorcerer, able to enhance her body via magic.

Genesis also benefits from her Omega-level control over flora, giving her power over all plant life. This includes the body's microbiome, which she can use to make her enemies weaker and her own body significantly stronger. And after centuries of war, there are few beings in Marvel lore more expert in the art of combat.

8 Kobak Never-Held

First Seen in S.W.O.R.D. Volume 2 #9 by Al Ewing and Jacopo Camagni

Another Arakko mutant, Kobak is covered in hyper-sharp quills that can piece any substance, as well as possessing enhanced strength. A member of the Great Circle, Kobak won his position in combat against other Omega-level mutants, and is an expert brawler who ed Storm to fight Genesis' army.

7 Iceman, aka Bobby Drake

First Seen in X-Men #1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

A founding X-Man, Iceman only unlocked his full potential relatively recently, realizing that his true power is to slow atomic and molecular motion. At his strongest, this has allowed him to freeze time itself. However, the power that makes Iceman rank so high on this list is his control over his ice body.

Despite his seemingly human nature, Iceman is actually able to become a disembodied consciousness that can control any amount of ice. This is how he's able to grow to gigantic height or create an army of ice duplicates controlled by his subconscious. Bobby can shapeshift his ice body in many different ways, including giving himself enhanced muscles or giant fists, and has fought Ice Giants with little apparent effort.

x-men's iceman punch out a frost giant

Iceman can grow to a size bigger than a skyscraper, spread his mind over an army of ice dupes, or just turn his fists into gigantic hunks of ice, even before he freezes time and punches you a thousand times in a second.

6 Legion, aka David Haller

First Seen in New Mutants #26 by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz

Charles Xavier's son Legion is an Omega-level power manifester, able to give himself pretty much any superpower, including some which are themselves Omega-level. These powers often manifest alongside a new persona (a result of his dissociative identity disorder), with Legion gaining enhanced strength, size-changing and super-fast punches from personae including Drexel and Sally.

5 The Omega Rocket, aka Orrdon

Introduced in X-Men: Red Volume 2 #14 by Al Ewing and Yıldıray Çınar

An ally of Genesis, Orrdon is an Omega-level mutant with powers similar to mutant hero Cannonball. Known as the 'Omega Rocket,' Orddon can propel himself with unbelievable speed, so fast that Nova itted he and Sunspot would be shredded "like a bullet through paper" on direct . Orrdon's skin was also invulnerable while his propulsive powers were active, though the interior of his body remained vulnerable.

4 Cable, aka Nathan Summers

Debuted in New Mutants #86 by Rob Liefeld and Louise Simonson

The son of Cyclops and Jean Grey, Cable is an Omega-level telekinetic and a powerful telepath. However, he's also infected with a techno-organic virus that is gradually turning his entire body into living metal. While Cable's metallic arm is the clearest sign of this, the virus has actually enhanced his entire body, granting him superhuman strength and durability. Like other telekinetics, Cable can infuse his body with his mental control over force, making him far stronger, though suppressing the virus limits his ability to draw on his full Omega-level telekinetic might.

3 Vulcan, aka Gabriel Summers

Introduced in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1 by Ed Brubaker and Trevor Hairsine

The long-lost brother of Cyclops and Havok, Vulcan possesses total control over all forms of energy, from the heat of a volcano to electrical signals within the brain. He's able to use this ability to enhance the kinetic force of his punches and kicks, having traded blows with powerhouses including Nova, Black Bolt and Gladiator. While Vulcan prefers energy blasts to physical combat, his incredible power means there are few beings who can match his strength.

2 Exodus, aka Bennet du Paris

First Seen in X-Factor #92 by Scott Lobdell and Joe Quesada

An Omega-level telekinetic, Exodus is able to channel his control over physical force to enhance his body, granting him superstrength and rocket-like flight. Originally a knight in the 12th century, Exodus has a lot of experience of physical combat, and can also form weaponry out of psionic energy. Exodus grows stronger by channeling faith, with Sins of Sinister revealing he's capable of becoming a gigantic entity who can destroy entire planets.

X-Men: The 10 Most Powerful 'Beyond Omega Level' Mutants, Ranked

X-Men's most powerful mutants are termed 'Omega-level,' but there IS a category beyond even that - one precious few heroes have achieved.

1 X-Man, aka Nate Grey

Introduced in X-Man #1 by Jeph Loeb and Steve Skroce

Created by Mister Sinister in an alternate reality, X-Man is the ideal combination of Cyclops and Jean Grey's genetics, able to warp reality in essentially any way he wants, as well as create new pocket realities to his personal specifications. X-Man is a peerless telepath and telekinetic, but he can also grant or remove superpowers, turn intangible, transmute matter, teleport, pause time, and heal any wound (though this latter power is limited by his medical knowledge.)

Like Exodus and Cable, X-Man can channel his telekinesis into his body, granting him enhanced strength. However, unlike the other entries on this list, X-Man has put a lot of effort into mastering this ability. This has allowed him to engage in physical fights with Fantastic Four's Thing, the Greek God Ares, the Mad Titan Thanos, and Apocalypse himself. He's also capable of forging psionic armor that further enhances his physical traits, making him strong enough to send the Hulk flying. Reality is essentially whatever X-Man wants it to be, and that extends to his own body (which he's been able to live without in the past.)

Those are the 10 strongest Omega-level mutants based on physical strength, with some surprising entries making the Top 10 under these unique conditions - let us know below which other X-Men character should appear on this list, as well as which characters should be higher or lower in our ranking.
