The new trio of Heyman, Rollins, and Breakker could be WWE's most intriguing faction of 2025, as they are expected to take center stage by causing mayhem and taking over programming. However, they haven't been getting the exact reaction that heels should receive from the audience. That's likely due to one of their being a huge fan favorite.
The shocking turn of events during Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 saw Seth Rollins align with Paul Heyman in the ultimate betrayal of Roman Reigns and CM Punk. The addition of Bron Breakker during the fallout from the Show of Shows was nearly as shocking, but he is now also a 'Paul Heyman Guy' and the "muscle" of the group. However, if audiences keep cheering whenever Bron beats up the babyface of the moment, WWE has a big issue on its hands.
Bron Breakker May Be Just Too Cool for His Role in Rollins' New Faction
Is He Too Popular To Be a Heel?
While Triple H undoubtedly had this triple threat of terror penciled in to be major heels, they've been cheered by the WWE Universe. When Breakker first ed the group two weeks ago, there was more of a quiet, stunned reaction than jeers. Last week, as they attacked Sami Zayn, the crowd went wild for them, which is NOT the desired result that the promotion was looking for. While Bron was delivering a series of vicious spears to Zayn (who is playing the role of the underdog babyface), the audience was chanting "One more time!"
That's because the 27-year-old pro wrestling prodigy, the son of Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, has been on the fans' radar for years. They expect the youngster to be the next big thing on the main roster, after dominating in NXT. And they have cheered Breakker since he made it to the main roster, more for his prowess than his persona. Bron brings an intensity and speed to the ring that fans haven't seen in a long time, and it's hard not to pop for his offense, especially his dreaded "super Spear," which seems to hit opponents like a speeding truck.

This Week's WWE Monday Night Raw Ending Explained (April 28, 2025): Recap, Results & What It Means [SPOILERS]
Here are your results from tonight's Monday Night Raw from Kansas City.
Fans have waited years for Breakker to develop, and now, they are seeing him have success. While that elevation may come at the expense of some poor, hapless babyfaces, the WWE Universe doesn't care. They love Breakker's explosiveness and aggression, no matter who he takes it out on. Pair it with Rollins's messiah-like charisma and Paul Heyman's unbelievable microphone skills, and it will be hard to call this a heel faction for long.
Audiences Should Not Cheer When the Babyface Gets Beaten Up
The Heel Faction Is Getting Pops From the WWE Universe
That brings WWE to a bit of a quandary on this one. Was it wrong to try and 'evil up' Bron Breakker by having him Paul Heyman's new impressive faction? Will the fans cheer him but boo the rest of the faction? And how does this help advance the career of one of the promotion's most promising prospects in years? This is a common issue with modern wrestling: heels seem to always be "too cool". It was the case for Roman Reigns during his time as the leader of the Bloodline, but it seems even more pressing now. If Rollins and co. will truly play the role of bad guys, it will be impossible to elevate the good guys who work with them if the audience cheers while they get beaten up.
It's possible that WWE could pull a quick fix on this, but highly unlikely. Triple H has been forced to do some on-the-fly booking that's led to questionable matches and title changes. So, he will probably let this one breathe. And certainly, the company wants to see if Bron can develop under Heyman in the same way that Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar did. That has to be the ultimate goal.
In the meantime, they shouldn't be surprised if this faction fails at being as villainous as they want to be portrayed. That's because the big guy in the middle of it all has captured the fans' imagination. The WWE Universe just doesn't want to boo Bron Breakker.
