WWE 2K25 The Island gives you a way to make your own Superstar rise through the ranks and become a fierce opponent. While it can be tempting to make a giant-type wrestler who is tall and heavy, there's more to builds than height and weight. Instead, you need to pay close attention when building and leveling up your characters.
Making some of these builds well requires farming XP on The Island, as you're going to need experience before any of them are effective. However, starting with a good baseline and knowing where to allocate your points is a big part of becoming the best. that you likely need to remake your character from scratch, as the builds require certain backgrounds and wrestler types.

Sole Striker Fighter Build
Let Your Strikes Speak For You
- Mogul - Striker - Cruiserwight
- Adrenaline Rush
- Swiftness
- Sting Like A Bee
- Pain Train
- Locomotion
For a Striker build in WWE 2K25, focus on boosting your fighting stats while keeping submission skills low. You're going to want to be able to deliver a lot of strikes to damage your opponent, so you're looking at a lot of effort on your part. Start every match by coming in for a clean hit to start some easy combos. Most players won't expect it, and you can build from there.

All Entrance Tracks In WWE 2K25 - Full List
WWE 2K25 doesn't hold back on entrance tracks for wrestlers to choose from, and it has some from decades ago that are still iconic today.
You want to focus on investing your VC in Arm Power, Leg Power, Movement Speed, Running Offense, Agility, and Stamina. You can invest in durability and recovery if you have leftovers after finishing your build, but you're trying to max out anything to do with attacks here. You want to be able to finish every match just by beating up your opponent, which gets easier as you level up your Superstar.
Submission Build For Pinning Opponents
The Best Build For Easy Wins
- Social Media Influencer - Technician - Super Heavyweight
- Bully
- Anaconda
- Slippery Eel
- Going In Hot
- Always See It Coming
For the submission build in WWE 2K25, you're going to want to focus on anything to do with putting your opponent onto the mat and pinning them. While this is easier done with dizzy opponents, you can't always rely on them getting to that state. Instead, you want to be able to get the job done quickly and efficiently.
You want to focus on investing your VC in Power Submission Offense, Stamina, Durability, Strength, Recovery, and Agility. This makes it a bit easier, as most of your VC should be going into Power Submission Offense, since that's what you're aiming for. While you may want to invest in your strength or attacks, as long as you pay attention to button prompts and know when to hit, you don't actually need to invest in anything but your pinning moves.
Top Rope Dive Bomber Build
For Those Who Love Flattening Their Enemies
- Parts Unknown - High Flyer - Cruiser Weight
- Freeze
- Quick Climber
- Dive Bomber
- Born To Fly
- Dreamstreet
The Top Rope Dive Bomber build in WWE 2K25 is focused on getting on top of the ropes and just flattening your opponent over and over again. This is a difficult one to master, but if you can do it well, you're going to be the most annoying person to face. It's very effective when you invest enough in your abilities, and you can end up seeing a lot of rage quitters.

WWE 2K25: Best Personality To Choose In MyRISE & What It Does
Picking a personality for your wrestler in WWE 2K25 is a lot harder than it seems, as there are many different rewards for your choices.
You want to focus on investing your VC in Aerial Offense, Aerial Range, Durability, Recovery, Agility, and Movement Speed. So your focus is on stats that help you take out opponents, but also the ones that keep you from hurting yourself trying to complete your attacks. Most opponents can't just leave you on the ropes because you can just taunt them the whole time. It's my favorite build to troll people with.
Weapon Master Build For Those Who Love Chairs
For Those Who Like To Use Weapons
- Parts Unknown - Striker - Cruiserweight
- Iron Jaw
- Unstoppable
- Weapon Master
- Demolition Man
- Energetic Opportunist
Your Weapon Master isn't as effective as other builds in WWE 2K25 because it requires weapons. If there are weapons for you to grab, you're going to be pretty devastating and annoy everyone. You don't want to take on a weapon master build when there are weapons around, because they will beat you over and over until the round is done. However, if your enemy can get the weapon out of your hands, they may beat you on skill.
You want to focus on investing your VC in Movement Speed, Arm Power, Stamina, Recovery, Agility, and Strength. This build is exactly how it sounds, and you will have a lot of fun running around grabbing things to beat your enemies with. This is a great build if you are aware of your surroundings and are faster than other wrestlers. The only thing to keep in mind is to finish the job when you take someone on with a weapon, because you become the number one target pretty quickly.
General Build Without A Focus
Good For Those Who Don't Like Making Builds
- Athlete - Powerhouse - Heavyweight
- Iron Jaw
- Swiftness
- Going In Hot
- Adrenaline
- Leg Day
This build is for people who don't like min-maxing in WWE 2K25 and just want to focus on playing the game. For some people, one of The Island's major problems in WWE 2K25 is the fact that it's so much like an RPG. If you don't want to waste time trying to learn all the nuances and features, then just use this one. It is easy to keep up with, and you can try all sorts of different wrestling moves and strategies.
You want to focus on investing your VC in Strength, Stamina, Recovery, Durability, Arm Power, and Power Submission Offense. Unfortunately, you're not going to be great at any one thing, and you'll find that you're going to have to work hard to get ahead. Still, that's how wrestling superstars are born, and it's better to play the way you like to. Copy this build onto your Superstar, and you will find that you're not weak in any areas.
Best Strategy For Making The Island Builds
You'll Need Lots of Virtual Currency
To succeed in WWE 2K25 The Island, you absolutely have to make builds and stick to them. The game doesn't give much room for you to just be free and do what you want, so the best strategy is to make a character from scratch that is dedicated to a specific way of playing. Keep an eye out for Locker Codes in WWE 2K25 if you need more Virtual Currency (VC), because sometimes those codes give you a leg up.

When making a build, do not waste your VC on anything other than what your build needs. You're going to need to min-max these. Otherwise, you're just wasting money and time. If your build doesn't need pinning or aerial attacks, don't waste points on them. Focus on what you need and forget everything else.
Even with a lot of money to spend on VC, you're going to need to win matches and build up your badges in WWE 2K25. Anyone with better badges or the right Payback will beat you. The worst-case scenario is to use the above to make a good baseline to work with, and then modify it the way you want.
