The Duet RepRap V3 printer was chosen for its interface, with the RaspberryPi's image processing ability allowing the robot to read the Wordle page. The machine is able to recognize colors, allowing it to understand letter placement, and an in-depth source code lets it actually solve the daily Wordle challenge.
Creating a robot that can play Wordle is extremely impressive, and other fans have used their own technical knowledge to change the daily puzzle experience. For example, a coder recently ported Wordle to the Nintendo Game Boy, making John Wardle's creation fully functional on the 1989 handheld. The 8-bit console's small ROM size does limit the project, however, with selected words experiencing a very high error rate.
