In Timeless #1 by Jed MacKay, Greg Land, Salvador Larocca, Patch Zircher, and Frank D'Armata from Marvel Comics, Kang the Conqueror searches for the Missing Moments, a single second in time he can't access - making it his greatest prize. However, as he time-jumps from different realities, he's shown visions of the future, setting up future Marvel storylines in 2023. Included among them is a version of Wolverine, who has somehow become the new Ghost Rider, with his fellow hero's flaming head and powers.
Wolverine and Ghost Rider Are Currently Linked In The Marvel Universe
Wolverine and Ghost Rider are currently appearing and teaming up in the latter's comic book, as writer Benjamin Percy is currently tackling both characters' ongoing series. Wolverine has used his claws to save Ghost Rider's life, getting a hellfire power upgrade in the process. However, the new tease in Timeless suggests an even more significant transformation for Wolverine, as he takes on the form of the Spirit of Vengeance - as the two heroes will seemingly become one in a future Marvel Comics storyline.
Wolverine becoming Marvel's new Ghost Rider is among several exciting teases for the future of the Marvel Universe. Included among the glimpses of storylines include a new, alien-like Spider-Man, the return of the Pet Avengers, the X-Men's Beast creating his own clone army, and Black Panther and Namor the Sub-Mariner forming an unlikely alliance. While there isn't anything as shocking as last year's Timeless story, such as a closer look at the Punisher becoming the Fist of the Beast, the comic sets the stage for several storylines in 2023.
