Battle Beast was shown as a prisoner in Invincible, one who still craves a battle that is worthy of his strength, which he managed to find in the form of the Viltrumites trying to execute Omni-Man.

However, Battle Beast was not shown again after drifting out into space, still mid-battle with his Viltrumite opponent. The turning point that saw story of Invincible season 4 is set up, Battle Beast is sure to be a part of it after being saved by a mysterious group of people.

Connecting Back To Season 2 Of Invincible

After Invincible's battle with Conquest, Battle Beast is shown drifting in space. The creature is frozen solid, surrounded by dismembered parts of his previous Viltrumite opponent, before being picked up by an unknown ship. Battle Beast is revealed to be alive, still craving more battle as his search for a worthy opponent continues. Naturally, the main question is who saved Battle Beast, with the answer linking back to Invincible season 2, episode 3 and the introduction of the Coalition of Planets.

This is the group that saved Battle Beast in Invincible season 3's finale, as confirmed by the green, masked alien design of his rescuers. These aliens are similar to one of the of the Coalition of Planets' council, shown alongside Thaedus in Invincible season 2. Another council member was also shown to be a member of Battle Beast's species, likely explaining why the Coalition knew to rescue him given the opportunity, with this council member likely knowing how strong Battle Beast is.

The Viltrumite War Is Being Teased

With the Coalition of Planets saving Battle Beast in Invincible season 3, episode 8, the question now becomes what his future holds. The Coalition of Planets is dedicated to the opposition of the Viltrumite Empire, with Battle Beast's species being part of the group. Now that Battle Beast is aware that only Viltrumites can satiate his thirst for a strong opponent, the character is set to the Coalition of Planets and help them fight the Viltrum Empire.

This would follow the comics, which depicted Battle Beast as a member of the group after escaping prison. Therefore, Battle Beast will likely up with Thaedus, Allen, Omni-Man, and the others in Invincible season 4. Not only is this an incredibly exciting future for Battle Beast himself, who can fight as many Viltrumites as he wishes, but for the audience also. With Battle Beast being saved by the Coalition, Invincible season 4 has the foundations of a team that can go toe-to-toe with the Viltrumites, which could only be made more powerful by the addition of the show's titular hero.
