ARIES: Madeline Mackenzie
If you're a natural leader who enjoys challenging themselves, you're probably most like Madeline Mackenzie. She displays the personality traits typical of an Aries: she's got a fiery temper, but she's usually cheerful.
Her relentless determination and ion see her pushing for causes she believes in, like helping out her friends and fighting for justice, or insisting her daughter go to college. Her approach is always direct and to-the-point, which sometimes shows in her impulsive and selfish actions, like her affair. Otherwise, Madeline is upbeat and enjoys the vibrancy of parties as an Aries often does.
TAURUS: Mary Louise Wright
Mary Louise might just be the most stubborn character on this show. Some may call it perseverance, but Mary Louise is simply unable to change her mind about some things, including her son's true character. She spends a lot of time ruminating and analyzing, which is why she can't move on from fighting for her son's reputation.
She's relentless when it comes to Celeste and her boys and notoriously nitpicky - otherwise known as fussy. Her appearance and lifestyle show us she has a penchant for luxury in her material world, just like a Taurus.
GEMINI: Abigail Carlson
Abigail is confident, intelligent, artistic, and adaptable, but sometimes she can be impulsive and unreliable. Gemini tend to be nosy, wanting to know everything about everyone, and unfortunately, Abigail reveals Madeline's darkest secret to Ed.
Abigal is willing to try anything, as we see from her somewhat controversial decisions in the show's two seasons. She's willing to be adventurous, daring, and flexible, and she's very enthusiastic about what she stands for. However, she often tries to avoid responsibility and boring activities, which is why Madeline views her as irresponsible.
CANCER: Renata Klein
Renata proves her loyalty, protectiveness, intuition, and deep care for her family when she discovers her husband's grave failings. Like a Cancer, she's fiercely committed to her family, but she can be sensitive, moody, and vindictive. This can make her seem a bit overbearing sometimes.
She also has a knack for reading people, almost like a psychic ability to know things - for instance, her husband's dishonest behavior, and her immediate mistrust of Mary Louise. Renata's other Cancer-like traits include her independence, skillful handling of money, and nurturing care towards her daughter. Most notably, she has to have her way.
LEO: Perry Wright
Leos are known for their fiery personalities and charisma. On the surface, Perry seems like a good husband and father. He displays the single-minded determination typical of a Leo, but he's not afraid to be powerful and commanding - which, in his case, is a very severe fault.
While Perry is strong and brave, he's too intent on dominating. To those who don't know him well, he seems like a confident and natural leader, but the truth is he can't accept that something is terribly wrong, and it's in a Leo's nature to struggle taking criticism. It should be noted that Perry's violence is an extreme exaggeration of Leo's traits.
VIRGO: Celeste Wright
Portrayed by Nicole Kidman, Celeste is a very logical, practical, and well put-together woman. Her carefully curated style grounds her in the material world, but not to an excessive degree. As a lawyer, she proves her incredible intellect and practical and logical thought processes.
Just like a Virgo, she's very aware of details and uses them to defend herself and make sense of Jane's confession about Perry. She's also a very ive, kind, gentle, and helpful mother and friend.
LIBRA: Chloe Mackenize
Even though she's only six, Chloe is pretty confident with who she is. She certainly displays a Libra's fondness for high art, the material world, and connoisseurship. Her charm makes her quite the people pleaser.
She can navigate any social situation she's thrust into, including solving conflicts between her friends and family - because a Libra is defined by equilibrium.
SCORPIO: Bonnie Carlson
Bonnie displays Scorpio's bravery, loyalty, and desire for honesty. An important part of her arc is her struggle with the truth about Perry's death. This struggle stems from her deep and emotional personality.
Her presence is very powerful and demanding, yet somewhat mysterious to her friends and husband. She's quite serious, especially when she's alone, and can come across as intense. But she's a natural leader, which is partly why she's the one to push Perry down the stairs.
SAGITTARIUS: Corey Brockfield
Corey is a little hard to read at first, but once we get to know him, we see how honest, positive, and adventurous he is. His love for surfing and the ocean is in line with a Sagittarius' love for travel, sports, and the outdoors.
He's good with new people, which Jane sees at work, but he's also great with Ziggy. His actions and intentions are progressive, while also proving his independence.
CAPRICORN: Ed Mackenzie
Capricorn's traits are pretty much a summary of Ed's personality: uptight, disciplined, sensitive and touchy, realistic and practical, persistent, and relentless. And taking one look at his house, he values money.
Madeline's betrayal affects him deeply, which hints at an underlying pessimism. Though his discipline conceals his sensitivity most of the time, he finally cracks and persistently demands answers, frustrated when he doesn't get them - suggesting a desire for instant gratification.
