What Will Succession Season 4 Be About?
Only a week after the premiere of season 3 of Succession on October 17, 2021, the satirical black comedy-drama was renewed for a fourth season. This comes as no surprise given how successful the show has been. The fourth season began filming in June 2022, and the official summary indicates that things will come to a head between Logan Roy and his new billionaire rival Lukas Matsson, who is intent on taking over the company and turning it into a completely different business, likely folding some seemingly antiquated divisions altogether.
“The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys,” reads HBO’s official summary of the season, “as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.” A teaser trailer has also been released, giving even more indication that we’re closer than ever to an official premiere date.
With some explosive things set to happen in season 4 of Succession, and likely only months until it premieres, now is the perfect time to catch up with seasons 1 through 3.
