Outlander follows World War II nurse, Claire (Caitriona Balfe), as she welcomes the return of her husband, Frank, from service in 1945. Their reunion is brief, however, as Claire is swept 200 years into the past through a magical circle of Scottish Stones. Arriving in 1743, Claire meets and falls in love with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and chooses to remain in the past with him. When the battle of Culloden draws near and war is pending, Claire returns to her time to keep Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Brianna, safe. Then, after decades in her own time, Claire leaves a grown Brianna (Sophie Skelton) to return to Jamie once again, followed back to the 18^th century by Brianna (Bree) and Bree’s boyfriend, Roger, who are time-travelers as well.

Outlander season 4 saw the foursome immigrate to America and establish a homestead, Fraser’s Ridge, in North Carolina. Not everyone welcomed them, however, and the Fraser clan found themselves at odds with other settlers in the area in Outlander season 5. In the season’s finale, Claire is kidnapped and discovers another time traveler in the ranks of her captors before she is rescued by Jamie. Now longtime audiences can watch the saga continue with Outlander season 6, available on Starz.

The first episode of Outlander season 6 will premiere on Starz this Sunday, March 6^th at 9 pm Eastern Time. After that, episodes will air on a weekly basis, however, fans will be disappointed to learn that, due to the pandemic, season 6 will include only eight episodes, the shortest season to date. Viewers will need a Starz subscription to watch, however, Starz is currently offering six months of streaming for $20. Starz can be ed as a stand-alone app, or added to existing streaming service hips like Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Apple TV+ for an additional charge. The show is also available with subscriptions to Sling TV and Philo, and Starz is included in the Entertainment Plus add-on bundle via YouTube TV.
