renewed for seasons 5 and 6, ensuring more adventures featuring the beloved vampiric cast.

Although the last episode of season 3 left fans wondering about Colin Robinson, there are also questions surrounding how Laszlo and Nadja will fare in the aftermath of the season finale. The two vampires have been an extremely strong couple throughout the show, from forming a band to protecting each other from old flames, and a look back at past episodes reveals that Laszlo and Nadja are truly soulmates and couple goals.

When It Was Love At First Bite

"Love at first sight" seems like a fairy tale for many, but for two vampires, it's more like "love at first bite." In the very first episode of WWDITS, Laszlo and Nadja reveal their charming love story. Laszlo explains to the camera crew that Nadja climbed up his bedroom window, turned into a "hideous, leathery bat thing", and bit him. From then on, it was history.

It's funny to imagine that Laszlo wouldn't question a woman scaling his wall in a lizardlike fashion and invite her in without a thought, not to mention be considerate. It speaks not only to Laszlo's kind nature and possibly his licentiousness but also to their love since they've been going strong for centuries.

When They Performed As A Human Music Band

Nadja and Laszlo end up performing for an open mic night as suggested by Colin Robinson in "Collaboration." Many of their songs sound like old-timey versions of modern hits like "Come on Eileen," which Laszlo claims to have originally written as "Chum On Irene."

Despite their strange lyrics, they eventually regale the crowd with a rendition of "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys, and both wonder how the audience is familiar with the words of "their" song. Nadja doesn't have the voice of a siren, but it seems that Laszlo doesn't notice and the two love performing together. Perhaps like beauty, musical talent lies in the ear of the beholder.

When Laszlo Murdered An Owl

Everyone loves a knight in shining armor and for Nadja, that's Laszlo. As Nadja gives the crew a tour of their crypt, she shows them a stuffed owl. According to her, the owl scratched her head as she and Laszlo were walking, and she asked him to "Kill that f***ing b****, please," which was definitely one of Nadja's funniest quotes in WWDITS.

A lot of people say that they'd die for someone, but a rare few might kill for someone. Of course, Nadja and Laszlo kill all the time but usually, it's Guillermo who does all the hard work of finding victims. In this case, it's no hard task for Laszlo to do as his wife bids. Plus, they both got some lovely decor out of it.

When They Give Each Other Constructive Criticism

Many turn to their partner for opinions on outfits, house design, and in Laszlo's case, pornography. As Laszlo searches for sex toys in "The Orgy," he stumbles on his old films, which range from antique 1920s silent movies to cheesy Seinfeld parodies. Nadja its that she finds them boring and this upsets him. But he soon forgives her when he re their love is stronger than her opinion.

Laszlo's heartwarming speech about his love for his "good lady wife," which unfortunately ruined their orgy, is a lovely example of being reminded of love and appreciation for more than just physicality. For Laszlo, since being a lecherous vampire is such a large part of his personality, it's very sweet to witness.

When Nadja Saved Laszlo From Witches

On more than one occasion, Nadja had to save Laszlo from some predicament. When Laszlo gets kidnapped in "Witches," Nadja confronts a coven of witches, some of the scariest creatures in WWDITS, who have taken Laszlo and Nandor to steal their vampiric semen. Just before they get drained, Nadja bursts into the ceremony, putting a stop to it with some help from Guillermo.

It's revealed that Laszlo had previously slept with the coven leader Lilith when she took on Nadja's form. Despite learning of Laszlo's penchant for being drawn to anything that vaguely resembles Nadja, Nadja's love cannot be swayed. It's fun to see her play the hero and even funnier to see Lilith's over-the-top version of a faux Nadja.

When Jeff/Gregor Shows Up

Throughout season 1, Nadja meets with her reincarnated lover Gregor, who is now Jeff Suckler. After turning him mad with memories of his past lives, he ends up in a psychiatric facility but soon breaks out. He then finds Nadja and Laszlo's home, and it's revealed that he keeps dying because Laszlo always cuts his head off.

But Laszlo's reasons do not stem from jealousy. He explains that whenever Gregor shows up, Nadja ends up crying. She forgives Laszlo for repeatedly killing Gregor, and they watch as he, unfortunately, decapitates himself this time. It's nice to see that although they are in a committed relationship, and one of the best relationships in WWDITS, Laszlo knows and accepts that Nadja still has eyes for Gregor sometimes.

When Laszlo Protects Nadja From A Curse

True love often breaks a curse, unless the curse is fake. After opening a chain email in "The Curse," Nandor believes the famous Bloody Mary is out to get him unless he can send the email to 10 other recipients. Seeking help, he calls for Laszlo and Nadja to inspect the curse, dooming them as well.

Laszlo attempts to shield Nadja's eyes, but it's too late, and she eventually gets a glimpse of the email and believes herself to be cursed. It was a nice gesture on Laszlo's part and at least he tried. Absorbing a curse in place of someone else can be considered an ultimate act of love. But in the end, since the curse was just a silly hoax, Nadja ends up okay.

When They Appreciate Art Together

Art plays a big part in the show, and many classic paintings depict the vampire cast. This is emphasized further by Nadja and Laszlo expressing their love for one another through art.

The most notable example is Laszlo's erotic topiary of Nadja, but there is a sweet example in "Colin's Promotion." To appease Nadja, Laszlo re-works the painting so that it portrays Nandor burning inside a house, and Nadja in an erotic pose. Painting for a loved one is a grand gesture and it's very touching and romantic for Laszlo to retouch the painting to cheer up his wife.

When They Bury Corpses Together

Doug Jones as Baron Afanas emerging from his coffin in What We Do in the Shadows

Like any well-matched couple, Laszlo and Nadja party together, dine together, and bury bodies together, notably two of the best side characters in WWDITS. Season 1 saw the couple bury the Baron Afanas in the topiary garden with the help of Nandor, and in season 2, they were forced to bury their beloved familiar, Topher.

It's hard work, both physically and emotionally, to bury a loved one. But the couple had each other to lighten their burden during those tough times. It is even more poignant considering they have lived for centuries and have probably had to endure this before the show's timeline.

When Laszlo Has Faith In Nadja

Nadja Laszlo and Guillermo standing together in What We Do In The Shadows

One of the saddest moments of the season happens in "The Portrait." After the death of Colin Robinson, the vampires decide to go their separate ways, with Laszlo and Nadja headed for England. But after discovering that Colin has been reborn as a baby, Laszlo tricks Guillermo into accompanying Nadja instead while he stays back to care for Colin.

It seems cruel at first, watching Laszlo abandon Nadja. But it's revealed that he believes Guillermo will protect her from anything that could harm her. It's even more bittersweet when he relates in his letter that he believes Nadja to be strong enough to endure without him for a time. To have such strong faith in a loved one is not just couple's goals but goals in any loving relationship, be they a friend or partner.
