Stranger Things Season 4 has finally arrived, and while fans have long anticipated the show's return, they will have to wait a bit longer for the conclusion of the show's latest season. Releasing seasons in different parts is something new to Stranger Things, and it has given its audience the chance to theorize, predict, and anticipate how volume 2 of Season 4 will shake out.
With many relationships, interactions, and questions left up in the air after the mid-season finale of Season 4 of Stranger Things, there are many elements that fans can't wait to see in the second half of Season 4.
Will's Painting
While it may just initially serve as a way of reintroducing Will in Season 4, he brought his painting to the airport when picking up Mike, and Will brought it along when they escaped Lenora. As nothing in Stranger Things happens by accident, so the mystery of what the painting entails will hopefully be shown to audiences in part 2 of Season 4.
As many fans have had long-running theories about Will and his hidden sexuality, it's also possible the painting could be a way to finally show this to the audience and the other characters.
Eddie Meets Argyle
Two of the best new characters from Season 4, Eddie and Argyle are both loyal, outspoken, and downright hilarious additions to the already awesome cast of Stranger Things. As Will, Mike, Jonathan, and Eddie are headed for Hawkins, it's very possible for these two characters to meet.
These are two of the funniest characters of the show and new to the world of the Upside Down, so seeing them interact in part 2 of Season 4 could give fans some of the most hilarious banter and scenes in the entire series.
Prison Escape
The end of the first part of Season 4 saw Hopper reunite with Joyce and Murray, but the three characters are still trapped in a Russian prison that has a Demogorgon on the loose. Whether or not they defeat the Demogorgon remains to be seen, but one thing for certain, they won't stay put for very long.
As the next steps in their adventure probably involve breaking out of the prison, a scene of the trio using their combined wit (and Murray's new karate skills) to escape is something fans can't wait to see and it's very possible fans could see them take down a Demogorgon in the process.
What Happens To Nancy
As if there weren't already enough cliffhangers for volume 1 of Season 4, the end of the last episode saw Nancy fall under Vecna's curse just as she was about to return to the real world. Since it's very unlikely that the characters have Nancy's favorite song on standby, her future survival is left uncertain.
Nancy has played a major role in Stranger Things ever since the beginning of the show, and as she is one of the show's most beloved characters, discovering the fate of Nancy will have many fans suspensefully tuning in to volume 2 of Season 4.
How It Sets Up The Final Season
While fans were given a much deeper understanding of the Upside Down with the backstory of Vecna, the Mind Flayer still remains a mystery and the main antagonistic force of the series. As Season 5 is set to be the final installment of Stranger Things, there are still many questions that still need answers.
It's doubtful that any of the show's big secrets will be revealed in the second part of Season 4, but fans can't wait to see how the characters and their long-awaited battle with the Mind-Flayer is built up toward in part 2 of Season 4.
El And Mike Fix Their Relationship
El and Mike's relationship became estranged in Season 4 as Mike found out the truth about the struggles El was having during her time at Lenora. Since the two never got to sort out their fight with one another, their relationship is very much in the air at this point.
As the two teen lovebirds have always found a way to sort out their issues in the past, it's very likely that Mike and El will get the chance to rekindle their romance in Volume 2, and many fans can't wait to see it happen, as their relationship is at the heart of Stranger Things.
El Using Her Powers
Eleven has spent the majority of Season 4 in the memories of her time at Hawkins Lab in an effort to restore her powers. As she briefly uses her powers in Episode 5, the question now is whether or not they have fully returned.
The last time fans see her, Eleven finally learns the tragic truth about the deaths of all the other children at Hawkins Lab, but it's possible that her newfound peace could end up making her stronger than fans have ever seen before. Or, perhaps the entire crew will have to unite and figure out how to defeat Vecna without El's powers.
How The Love Triangle Shakes Out
In one of the more unexpected arcs in Season 4, Nancy and Steve seem to be on the verge of sparking back up their romance with one another. While Nancy and Jonathan have big together since the first season of Stranger Things, their relationship is shown to be on the fritz in Season 4, setting up the Steve-Nancy-Jonathan love triangle for the next part of Season 4.
The fandom of Stranger Things seems to be split on how this love triangle should play out, and it's sure to be a big reason why fans tune in to see Volume 2 of the show's fourth season.
The Characters Reunite
One of the best reoccurring beats in every Stanger Things season comes when all of the plotlines converge and fans get to see all of the characters interacting and working together. When and how this will happen will be interesting to see, especially considering that the characters are farther apart from one another than they've ever been.
However, if one thing's for certain, it's that the Duffer brothers know how to write an action-packed and satisfying season ender that gives all the characters a chance to shine, and fans can't wait to see how it unfolds.
Vecna Fighting Eleven
In one of the biggest plot twists in all of Stranger Things, Vecna is revealed to be Henry Creel-the first test subject of Dr. Brenner. This reveal causes Vecna to be a much more compelling villain, as he has deep ties to Eleven, making a final confrontation between the two all but certain to happen in Volume 2 of Season 4.
As Stranger Things season finales are known for featuring some of the greatest displays of Eleven's powers, it's very possible that the conclusion to season 4 will allow fans to see Eleven's greatest battle yet if she takes on Vecna.
