Kahhori Is Finally ing Marvel Comics Canon

The Mohawk hero will leave her home to save Sky World

Kahhori leading the Mohawk people in What If...? season 2

Kahhori's episode of What If...? was met with critical acclaim, not just because the story, writing, and art were beautiful, but also because writer Ryan Little and other creators of the episode met with real life Mohawk historians, linguists, and cultural experts. The brilliant adventure saw Kahhori fall through the Forbidden Lake - gaining vast superhuman abilities thanks to the Space Stone within the Tesseract - transporting her to the mythical Sky World. The thoughtful episode dealt with the horrors of colonization, the power of culture, and legacy, before Kahhori ed the rest of the Multiversal heroes to battle a demonic Doctor Strange.

The episode was created in close collaboration with of the Mohawk Nation like historian Doug George and Mohawk language expert Cecelia King to ensure cultural authenticity. The episode takes place in the Mohawk language and is informed by the history of the Akwesasne region in what is now upstate New York.

The one-shot Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds will finally see the epic Native American hero enter into Marvel Comics canon, and Marvel's announcement makes it seem like the Kahhori in this Marvel Voices special will be the same variant seen in What If...? As a dangerous new villain threatens her precious Sky World, Kahhori will be forced to use her Tesseract abilities to travel to Earth-616, where she will land in Hell's Kitchen. Kahhori already has a lot of experience traveling to different worlds from her adventures in What If...? but the busy, violent streets of Daredevil's home turf is sure to be overwhelming. Using her incredible smarts, bold spirit, and fantastic abilities, Kahhori will need to move past her culture shock to stop the growing threat, saving both Earth-616 and Sky World.

Reshaper of Worlds Will Honor Native American Heritage

The one-shot will include some surprise guest appearances

Marvel Voices Heritage Dani Moonstar Proudstar

Kahhori will be ing an important line of Native American and Indigenous heroes to star in Marvel Comics, including iconic characters like Dani Moonstar, Warpath, Thunderbird, Forge, Echo, Red Wolf, and others. Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds will highlight and celebrate both indigenous Marvel characters and creators. Hopefully, the one-shot will see Kahhori teaming up with other Native and Indigenous heroes in Hell's Kitchen, as the fierce Mohawk warrior fights for her home and officially enters into Marvel Comics canon.

The highlight of What If...? Season Two was undoubtedly Kahhori, and the powerful hero will finally enter into the world of comics this November, in celebration of Native American Heritage Month, hopefully setting a precedent for her return in future adventures.
