Warning: This article contains spoilers for Weak Hero Class 1.starring Park Ji-hoon, the K-drama begins with its primary protagonist, Yeon Shi-eun, being tormented by one of his classmates. Shi-eun, however, isn't easy to bully because he won't let his classmates make his life difficult. The bullies find another target, a new, rich student, Beom-seok (Hong Kyung), who, unlike Shi-eun, doesn't have the strength to fight back.

Soo-ho (Choi Hyun-wook), the only person who isn't bullied in their class because of his fighting skills, becomes friends with Shi-eun and Beom-seok early on in the Korean TV show. However, as the thriller K-drama goes on, Beom-seok stops being friends with Soo-ho and Shi-eun after an encounter with his father (Jo Han-chul) and Gil-sun (Na Chul). He comes up with plans to hurt Soo-ho, whom he now seems to hate, until his actions go horribly wrong and Soo-ho is left fighting for his life.

With Weak Hero Class 2 set to be released in the second quarter of 2025, the streamer has released the names of the actors who will be in the K-drama. Park Ji-hoon will be reprising his role as Shi-eun and will be ed by a new cast which includes Ryeoun, Bae Na Ra, Lee Min Jae, Lee Jun Young, and Choi Min Young (via What's On Netflix).

In the mid-credits scene of the high school K-drama, an anonymous person is shown watching how Shi-eun attacks his classmate and comments that Shi-eun is the one who beat up Kang Woo-young, the candidate of the association. It's unclear what "the association" is or what they do, which perfectly sets up the plot of Weak Hero Class 2.

Weak Hero Class 1 is a story of how trauma affects actions. Beom-seok takes things too far with Soo-ho because of how his father treats him. He doesn't know how to stop until his former friend nearly dies. While Shi-eun transfers to another school, he is still targeted by those who prey on students who look weak. Ultimately, the cycle of bullying continues and this time it might have worse consequences than what happened to Soo-ho.

It's not fair to say that Beom-seok walked away without any real consequences, since he is ridden by the guilt about what happened to Soo-ho.

The season finale of Weak Hero Class 1 not only touches on the impacts of bullying on the victims but also shows that powerful people in society usually get what they want.
