The DC Animated Movie Universe provided fans with amazing adaptions of iconic comics stories through a combination of strong writing, incredible voice acting, and beautiful animation that help bring these amazing stories to life. The world lasted for seven years, kicking off in 2013 with Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and wrapping up in 2020 with Justice League Dark: Apokolips War.
That final installment, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, was released in May 2020. So here is where you can watch all the movies from the DC animated movie universe online, from start to finish.
Updated on April 26th, 2022, by Shawn S. Lealos: In 2020, DC Animated ended its run of the DC Animated Movie Universe with Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, and while many fans hoped there could be more movies in this shared universe, it never happened. While there was a short film in 2022 featuring Constantine, it seems DC is moving away from this timeline.
With 16 DC animated movies in this line, it looks like the company will now focus on animation on HBO Max and this marked the end of the line for the very popular and successful run. For fans who want to relive these movies, it is easier than ever to find them on streaming platforms, with all 16 movies online for fans to either catch back up on or possibly even discover for the very first time.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (2013)

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, based on the popular comic event, shows what the world would look like if Barry Allen made the decision to save his mother the night of her murder. While Barry is the main character of the movie, he certainly isn’t the only character of significance.
The story offers us alternate versions of of the Justice League. The film is even more relevant now considering the comic will be the inspiration for the live-action Flash movie.
Justice League: War (2014)

The movie follows Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Shazam, and Flash as they team up to stop Darkseid and his invading army of para-demons and officially form the Justice League.
While the epic large-scale battles make for awesome action sequences, the main highlight of the film comes from the wonderful character dynamics and interactions like Shazam fawning over Wonder Woman or Green Lantern being surprised by the fact that Batman is just a man in a bat costume.
Son of Batman (2014)

In this animated Batman movie, the Caped Crusader discovers that he has a son with Talia al Ghul named Damian that was raised by the league of assassins. Driven by rage, Damian sets out to get violent revenge on Deathstroke, the man he believes is responsible for the murder of his grandfather, Ra's al Ghul.
With Damian, the story establishes a character that you will either really love or completely hate and tracks his progression from League member to Robin and the shaky path between the two.
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (2015)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.
When Atlantis attacks Metropolis out of revenge, Queen Atlanna seeks help from the Justice League to find her son, Arthur, who has disappeared with her believing he could be the gap between the two worlds.
Despite this film coming out after Flashpoint Paradox, a film that featured Aquaman, the story serves as an origin for the character which has many similarities to 2018's Aquaman.
Batman vs. Robin (2015)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.
A sequel to Son of Batman, this movie follows up on Damian as he is more settled in his new role as Robin. Despite being the newest Batman sidekick, the league-trained Damian struggles to settle into this new role.
Robin doesn't want to adapt to his father's no-kill rule, causing them both to clash over differing codes. Damian begins questioning if he may be better suited to the Court of Owls, a secret organization that has been in control of Gotham for years.
Batman: Bad Blood (2016)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.
Batman: Bad Blood takes place two years after the events of Batman vs. Robin, with Bruce Wayne and Batman disappearing from Gotham and the latter presumed dead. In his absence, Robin and Nightwing protect the city while the newly introduced member of the "Batman Family," Batwoman, decides to investigate and find out what happened to the Dark Knight.
The film takes a lot of inspiration from the Grant Morrison run on Batman, primarily the Leviathan arcs, rather than any particular storyline.
Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.
While the Justice League has made numerous appearances in the DCAMU before, this was the first real introduction to this iteration of the Teen Titans.
The movie was released during a year full of films about superheroes fighting each other and it was no exception, having the Teen Titans comprised of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Blue Beetle, and Beast Boy face off against a Trigon-possessed version of the League.
Justice League Dark (2017)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.
This film showed that DC was not afraid to make their animated projects darker with it being the first DCAMU project to earn an R rating. Just like in the comics, the film dips more into the mystical elements of the DC universe.
While the Justice League Dark roster features characters related to the dark arts like Constantine and Dean, an interesting addition to the team compared to the comics is the inclusion of Batman who is the one that brings them together.
Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.
While this isn't the first appearance of the Teen Titans in the DCAMU, it is the first time they are the sole focus of a movie since their last appearance had them fighting the Justice League.
Since they've already been introduced previously, this allows us to instead jump right into the story. It shows the team attempting to deal with villains, Deathstroke and Brother Blood, as well as deal with the new dynamic created by Terra, their newest team member.
Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018)
- Available to stream on HBO Max.
- Available to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV.

The team features a strong cast of characters from Killer Frost to Harley Quinn, often providing humorous character moments that come from the unique team dynamic.
