A trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone Season Five Reloaded, added new content to the already-massive shooter.
This Call of Duty: Warzone midseason update served as a halfway point between larger seasonal expansions. Season Five Reloaded added a new game mode, Clash, which sees two teams of 50 players battle it out across the game's massive map of Verdansk. Another new game mode, Iron Trials '84, promises to be the most difficult Warzone experience ever added to the title. Players are given increased health and improved health regeneration, so putting down an enemy is a difficult task. Even more recently, was updated with weapon balance changes to maintain the competitive balance of the game. Multiple powerful weapons, such as the Krig 6 assault rifle and OTs 9 submachine gun, were reconfigured in order to give other weapons an edge.
As reported by GameSpot, new cinematic trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 sees the return of Russell Adler and the destruction of Verdansk. Adler was featured as a protagonist in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, in which he was also brainwashed. In the cinematic trailer Adler is seen under interrogation, having planted bombs across Verdansk that villainous mercenary Stitch tries and fails to disarm. The cinematic trailer nears its end with Adler snapping out of his brainwashed state and saying, "Oh god, what have I done?" as Verdansk crumbles amid a series of explosions.
The cinematic trailer teases a massive change coming to the battle royale title's map of Verdansk. Warzone will receive a massive new map, Pacific, to coincide with the November release Call of Duty: Vanguard. The completely original Warzone map will take players back to an island within the Pacific Front of World War II. Jungles, caves and small cities will dot the battlefield, giving players a big change of pace when compared to the sprawling urban environments of Verdansk.
Call of Duty: Warzone is always evolving and expanding. Verdansk has been the battle royale shooter's map since its 2020 launch, but the setting has consistently changed to reflect new time periods or events. With a month between the launch of Warzone Season 6 and Call of Duty: Vanguard, it seems likely that the destruction of Verdansk will pave the way for the game's unique Pacific map.
