Treyarch's massive update for Warzone finally launched this week ahead of the Season One release on Wednesday, December 16. The developer did not release official patch notes for the update just yet, but Treyarch did reveal that it would include weapon tuning, perk tuning, spawn improvements, and more.

Activision announced earlier this month via a blog post that Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season One was to be delayed an extra week to give the publisher and Treyarch some more time to work on it. The Season One update is slated to bring "an unprecedented amount of free Warzone content" and "an undeniable offering" of additions to Black Ops Cold War, making it "the largest free content drop in Black Ops history." In the meantime, Treyarch planned to roll out several content updates in preparation for the big Season One drop. This final content update marks the near arrival of Season One.

Black Ops Cold War battle on December 16. According to Treyarch's highlights, the update includes weapon tuning for multiple classes, including tactical rifles; perk tuning, including reducing Flak Jacket protection; MP mode updates; spawn improvements; Zombies updates, including 2-player splitscreen; and PC stability updates.

Treyarch plans to release official patch notes when Season One is officially released for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. In the meantime, Call of Duty YouTuber Drift0r shared some unofficial patch notes that he discovered during gameplay. He found that the AUG seemed to get a minor damage nerf, as well as the Gallo Fire rate. The FFAR range, Milano 821 range, and KSP range have all been buffed.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating this balance patch since Treyarch revealed last week that the update beside Season One would include not only weapons tuning, but also for other gameplay elements. In fact, Black Ops Cold War lead game designer Tony Flame said that Treyarch wanted to "shake up" the meta over the holiday season. If that doesn't hint at something huge, we don't know what does. It's been one month since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War officially launched. Now that day-one players have gotten into the swing of things, it's time to really dive in and switch up the strategies.
