The Obamas have already released unscripted series American Factory, Chimp Champ and Becoming. Waffles + Mochi will have 10 episodes and drop on the streaming platform on March 16.
Waffles and Mochi will travel across the globe in a flying shopping cart to places like Peru, Savannah, Japan, San Francisco, Seoul and Italy.
Additionally, Mrs. Obama will introduce them to an array of famous friends including Jack Black, Rashida Jones, Common, Zach Galifianakis, Tan , Gaten Matarazzo, Sia, Mandy Moore, Samin Nosrat, José Andrés and Massimo Bottura. The trailer indicates that the show will use a lively blend of live-action and animation. When it comes to cooking and exploring cities, Waffles and Mochi appear in puppet form while fun little details are accented in animation. There are also other scenes while they are traveling that are solely animation. Children are sure to be captivated by this new series.
