Cozy and inviting, Virgin River has managed to reel in audiences yet again with its gripping new season. The sleeper hit is an emotionally satisfying watch, with Mel, Jack, Doc, Hope, and the rest of the town being a wonderfully ive community to each other.

By virtue of being a small town, its residents are endlessly caring and encouraging to each other, and their interactions are always lovely to watch. Doc and Mel are the caregivers of Virgin River, but even Jack, Ricky, Preacher, Muriel, and Hope pitch in to make everyone's lives easier and more comfortable. Their quotes and dialogues are very touching and feel like a warm hug.

“I'm Going To Love Our Baby No Matter What.”

- Jack, Season 4

Mel's sudden pregnancy was a big twist in Virgin River, and not knowing whether Jack or Mark was the father made things a lot more complicated. However, understanding as Jack was, he eventually felt that paternity would not affect the love he had for Mel's child.

The baby was, after all, half of Mel and he couldn't help but love the child. This quote showed off the best parts of Jack whose love for Mel and the baby was so pure that he didn't even need a paternity test.

“I'm Here To Tell You That I Care.”

- Muriel, Season 4

Muriel in Virgin River

Hope's survival was something Virgin River fans really wanted in season 4, and their wish was granted. Sadly, because of the neurological damage, Hope was slightly different from her usual vivacious and lively self this time round.

As she isolated herself more and more, Hope got from an unexpected avenue. Muriel, with whom she had never gotten along, chose to help her out even when Hope didn't want to be helped. She showed up and helped in the smallest ways that she could, putting aside any animosity and expressing her concern for Hope.

“Come On, We're Practically Family.”

- Jack, Season 3

Virgin River 2x6

Along with Jack, Preacher was one of the best characters in Virgin River, but many felt that Preacher was underappreciated by Jack. This was why it was heartening to hear that Jack actually helped and worked to make Preacher happier with him, and give him the importance he deserved.

He considered him family, even though they only worked together. Right after giving him the status of family, Jack even indirectly asked Preacher to be his Best Man, and viewers just loved this bromance between the two.

“Your Friends And Your Family, They Want To Be There For You. Let Them.”

- Doc, Season 3

Tara on Virgin River.

The untimely demise of Lilly was a big shock to everybody in the town, but it obviously impacted her daughters Tara more than anyone. As she withdrew from people, Doc very sweetly explained to her that Lilly would have wanted Tara to get form her neighbors and friends.

The townsfolk really did believe in uplifting each other, and helping Tara through her mother's death and becoming a mother to Chloe was high on their priority list. All Tara had to do was let them in.

“Happy And Safe.”

- Mel, Season 2

Mel leaning on Jack's shoulder for comfort in Virgin River

Jack and Mel set relationship goals from the very beginning, mainly because of how respectful and loving their bond was. When they first got together, Jack made sure to ask her how she felt, and her answer was sweet and touching.

It was important for Mel to feel safe because she had been through enough trauma in the recent past. Jack made her feel secure in a way that no one else could, and that he made sure she was comfortable and protected was heartwarming to watch.

“I'm So Proud Of You.”

- Jack, Season 4

Ricky on Virgin River wearing a helmet for the Lumberjack Games.

Ricky was a young man who had no father figures to look up to, and only Lydie to supervise and mind him. As an old lady, there were few of Ricky's needs that Lydie couldn't meet, but Jack stepped in and took over that responsibility.

He employed Ricky and gave him guidance like no one else did. Through a haze of doubt and second-guessing, Ricky enlisted for the Marines, and it was very sentimental to see Jack reassure him that he was doing the right thing and that someone was very proud of his decisions.

“It Means Yes, You Old Fool. I’ll Marry You Again.”

- Hope, Season 2

Doc and Hope smiling at each other on Virgin River.

After a heart-wrenching breakup and many conflicts after, Hope and Doc managed to find their way back to each other. Doc had betrayed Hope's trust by cheating on her, so viewers found it very pleasant when she saw past it and agreed to remarry Doc.

Her quote was adorable, and even more important was that she trusted Doc enough to marry him again. It took a lot of vulnerability for Hope to do so, which was a great change from her usual guarded self.

“You Did Not End Up In This Random Town By Accident.”

- Jack, Season 3

Vigin River Season 4 Mel and Jack

After a tough life, Jack was convinced that Mel was a soulmate who had been sent to him by some divine intervention. He loved her so much that he knew that they were destined to be together, which meant he would stop at nothing to be with her.

The bar owner was a simple man, and making Mel happy was his foremost thought. His dedication to her was true, and he was not going to let his partner go easily.

“I Just Love All Of You So Much. Thank You For Being My Friends.”

- Lilly, Season 3

Lilly sits down for a moment after getting tired

Nobody wanted to see Lilly go, but she was terminal and ed away in her sleep, which was the most peaceful way for her to go. Before her death, she was able to express her love and gratitude to her community at Virgin River.

Her circle of women was important to her, as was every other town resident. She got the chance to thank the people who helped her through life, which isn't something everyone gets to do. Lilly was a true gem whose raw confession brought tears to the eyes of the strongest Virgin River fan.

“You're Going To Be A Great Dad, You Know That?”

- Charmaine, Season 4

Charmaine with Todd at a candlelit dinner in Virgin River.

Known to be bitter and irritating, hearing a few words of encouragement from Charmaine was quite a pleasant change. She had only feuded with Jack over the twins, so it was gracious of her to give Jack's impending fatherhood a vote of confidence.

It gave Jack the confidence boost he desperately needed with three kids on the way. It also showed that Charmaine had a softer and kinder side to her, which viewers had been waiting to see.
