For anyone who was wondering what an Venom is certain to answer that question. With vials of assorted liquids protruding from its back and arms, this mysterious figure is emerging from a green cloud that has left those in the background choking in its wake. Several of the individuals have even developed painful-looking blisters. But is this a new symbiote for Eddie Brock, the return of a dangerous symbiote from years past, or a new character?

With a color scheme reminiscent of Sleeper, the symbiote birthed from the Venom-Eddie Brock bromance, there is speculation that it could be Dylan Brock's feline protector in a new form. Sleeper was assigned by Eddie Brock to watch over his son when the former Venom ascended to godhood as the King in Black, and has been doing his best to protect the young symbiote- ever since. However, now that Dylan is being pursued by the Life Foundation, he may need to break cover and deploy their own weapons against them.

It's also possible this is a new symbiote controlled across time and space by Eddie Brock, or perhaps even a non-biological suit developed to counter the Klyntar race's abilities. Whatever the answer, the symbiote suit’s similarity to Iron Man’s aesthetic (if Tony Stark had been a chemist rather than a mechanical engineer) captures the imagination and invites rampant speculation. The figure appearing on Bryan Hitch and Alex Sinclair's cover for Venom #11 (as shared by when Carnage hijacked Iron Man’s Extremis suit. It has Iron Man-like robotic armor covering the arms and legs, a gas mask to protect from its own toxin, and its own version of Iron Man’s palm-based repulsors. The issue itself will come from Ram V and Bryan Hitch.

Unveiling such a suit is a pleasant a nebulous cosmic symbiote. With  Eddie's new relationship to time and space, he's been meeting not just the deadliest symbiotes of his own age, but of all time.

The mysteries of this suit will be explained when Venom #11 debuts on September 14. Ultimately, whether this is a fun one-off suit specific to a single issue, a revamped version of Eddie Brock or Sleeper (or both), or a new entity entirely, this suit’s shared design elements with Iron Man show the infinite variety of Venom's symbiote allies and enemies.
