An Undertale's multiple endings depending on the player's choices, the RPG is still well-loved and appreciated by fans.
The decisions the player makes affect not only the ending they receive but also the encounters they face if they decide to replay Undertale. While there is a Neutral ending that can be reached by making a mixture of decisions, the Pacifist and Genocide endings are reached by being consistent in either freeing or killing enemies. The Pacifist Ending doesn't affect future gameplay, but the Genocide Ending adds more boss fights and makes replaying the role of little Frisk depressing and slightly creepy. Befriending characters such as Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys also alter the endings, and some have even created their own interesting custom Undertale Underground companions.
In 2019, an Undertale fan ed a mod that allows players to have a different kind of companion: a real life one. Depa31's Undertale Together makes local co-op possible by adding another character similar to Frisk that can be controlled by another player. One utilizes WASD while the other controls the arrow keys in order to explore the Underground. As reported by PCGamer, online multiplayer is also available with Undertale Together if the s remote desktop tools such as Parsec, but this is more difficult to set up and less seamless overall. YouTube DrownedInGames has released a video showing how one can attempt to play Undertale online.
Undertale Local Co-Op Mod Can Be Used For Online Multiplayer
Depa31's mod provides a new and charming way to experience Undertale and its wonders. The addition of another player during combat may also ease the difficulty of boss fights. However, if one player decides to be ive while the other insists on killing enemies, the gameplay might be even more difficult. Regardless, experiencing the indie RPG again whether alone or with co-op is a pleasant experience for Undertale fans.
After Undertale, Toby Fox also released the spin-off Deltarune which is set in a parallel universe to that of Undertale. Chapters 1 and 2 are available now, and Deltarune Chapters 3-5 will be released together at some point. Undertale and its successor have amassed a dedicated fanbase, and it'll be interesting to see what's in store for the indie title from both Toby Fox and the community.
