Tyler Posey gained fame starring as Scott McCall on the MTV supernatural series best friend Stiles fighting evil in the town of Beacon Falls. Teen Wolf won three Saturn Awards for Best Youth-Orientated Television Series. Posey received nine Teen Choice Awards nominations and won in 2012 and 2017 for Choice Summer TV Star: Male.
Teen Wolf turned Posey into a household name, but he worked steadily before landing the role appearing as Jennifer Lopez's son in Maid in Manhattan as well as scoring small-screen parts on Brothers & Sisters, Doc, and Lincoln Heights. Posey was considered for the role of Jacob Black in the movie Twilight, but lost the part to Taylor Lautner. Posey has worked alongside three actors who have played Clark Kent/Superman. Posey appeared in Smallville, starring Tom Welling, in 2006. His Teen Wolf co-star Dylan Sprayberry played a young Clark in Man of Steel, and Tyler Hoechlin took on the iconic role in the Arrowverse.
The Last Summer, and Posey recently finished filming the dystopian thriller Alone. His next movie, the indie thriller Brut Force, is in pre-production.
Posey's mother, Cyndi Garcia, died of breast cancer in 2014. The actor told People, "She was the glue that held our family together." Posey its he became depressed, but focusing on Teen Wolf helped him heal. He became a producer on the popular series and directed season 6's "After Images." He and his younger brother Jesse produced a revival of his father, John Posey's play Father, Son, & Holy Coach in 2016.
In June, the Teen Wolf cast reunited for a virtual reunion to celebrate the show's 9th anniversary. Posey has been vocal about wanting to do a reboot. He took to await Posey, Teen Wolf fans still hope to see him one day return to the role of Scott McCall.
