Marvel Comics' new crossover event <em>One World Under Doom</em> has released its first issue, unveiling Victor von Doom's new rule as emperor of the entire world six months after he became the new Sorcerer Supreme, and all the leaders of the worlds are bowing to his authority. Having promised to meet the basic needs of every citizen of the world with free universal health care, access to higher education, and the erasure of all war and bigotry, I'm excited to see what the catch will be and how Marvel's heroes will justify going after Doom this time, especially when everything he's doing seems to be with the world's improvement in mind.
