The Harry Potter movies followed the book series' pairings, ending with Harry and Ginny, while Hermione married Ron Weasley. However, J. K. Rowling, the creator of the franchise, later revealed that she wished she had put Harry and Hermione together instead. While I like the way the couples worked out in the book for the most part, I think it would have been better to have Harry and Hermione become a couple in the movies instead, as films like The Goblet of Fire and their sweet dance scene in Deathly Hallows Part 1 show more could have happened between them.
