In Marvel Comics' new The Amazing Spider-Man #1, it was confirmed by Spider-Man that lifting a truck is the "top end of [his] spider-strength." The truck in question could weigh from 8,000 to 10,000 pounds, which means that number is where Spider-Man's maximum strength lies. While impressive, I think that number is somehow too low for what Spider-Man should be able to lift.

What is MTV's most underrated reality TV show?

I think the most underrated MTV reality show is Teen Mom, especially the current iteration of the series. While the Teen Mom ladies are no longer teens, they've transitioned from teen motherhood into adulthood on screen, and watching them throughout their lives has been fascinating. Going through so much with the same cast has been great to watch, and they're rarely given credit for how much they've done on the network.

It's been 45 years, are The Shining's book changes really that bad?

The Shining is about to celebrate its 45th anniversary, which led to me going back and revisiting the film, and while I used to be more forgiving of its changes from Stephen King's book, I'm certainly starting to be worn down by them. Jack really never feels like the loving family man he is at the start of the book, and changing everything from Dick's fate to the cause of Jack's mental deterioration just feel like lackluster choices.

Would The Voice benefit from a full-show revamp?

I really think The Voice needs a revamp. At this point, the format has grown stale, with few winners finding long-term success. A refreshed approach that could possibly limit the blind auditions and emphasize original music could reinvigorate the franchise. The talent is there, but the show has to evolve beyond its flashy production and focus on developing genuine careers to remain relevant in today’s saturated music competition landscape.

I feel like the Scarlet Witch's MCU arc is even worse now after Thunderbolts*

Thunderbolts* is all about reconciling with your past, moving forward and taking action so that the trauma and darkness of the past can be overcome with help from others. Convesely, I feel like that makes Wanda Maximoff's arc even worse, especially as it doesn't seem like any of the surviving Avengers came to and be there for her following the death of the Vision.

Does Will Trent's January 2026 release make sense?

Will Trent won't be back on ABC until January 2026, and though I'm not happy about the wait, I think it's meant to be a strategic release. Waiting until the mid-season avoids the stiff fall competition and rewards loyal viewers by ensuring they won't have to deal with long breaks during the season itself. I'm hopeful that Will Trent's long hiatus means the next season will debut with a larger, more excited audience.

I'm really happy about Nathan Fielder acknowledging The Rehearsal's influence on the neurodivergent community.

As a neurodivergent person, I was over the moon to see Nathan Fielder acknowledge the impact The Rehearsal has had on the neurodivergent community in the most recent episode. While I'm not autistic, there is a big overlap with neurodivergent conditions, and I totally understand the comments that were made in the episode. I think more people should watch The Rehearsal to help understand not just neurodivergent people, but people in general - whether they're anxious, going through something, or just as a way to work on their own communication skills. Hats off to Fielder for addressing this.

Is American Ninja Warrior still an interesting concept?

While I think American Ninja Warrior is great, I don't know if the concept is still feeling fresh. The show could probably use some innovation, even though the athletic piece of the puzzle is still really impressive. The repetitive format is what I lose interest in, and I'm not totally sure how that can be resolved. I'm hoping American Ninja Warrior can stay relevant while continuing to celebrate the Ninja's athleticism.

I honestly love the theory that Godzilla x Kong: Supernova's title secretly revealed its villain.

The Monsterverse thus far has pitted both Godzilla and Kong against a number of exciting foes, both new and classic, and while I wish they would get separate movies again, I am certainly excited for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. While plot details are under wraps, I did see a theory that the recently revealed title treatment for the movie looks to have pointed to Gigan being its main villain, and I absolutely love the idea. To begin with, this would continue the franchise's embracing of not taking itself too seriously, but would also finally give the franchise a more Godzilla-focused story, something I've felt has been missing after focusing more on Kong the past three movies.

Should Jyn Erso have appeared or been referenced in Andor season 2?

Jyn Erso is an integral character in Cassian Andor's story, but I don't think she needed a place in Andor. I think mentioning her name would have felt too contrived, and having her appear on-screen might have overshadowed the narrative with Bix, who was Cassian's true romantic partner. Of course, Jyn and Cassian were ultimately just friends, but foreshadowing another character who many audiences perceived as being a love interest might have taken away from the core romance of Andor. Jyn Erso's story was Rogue One, and I don't think there was any way to incorporate her in a satisfying way.

Should The Last of Us Part II really require three full TV seasons?

I haven't agreed with all the creative choices going into HBO's The Last of Us, but I can see what they mean about splitting up the game into three separate seasons. There are natural breaking points that make for a compelling way to tell a story on television, and I think shifting the focus to Abby for season 3 will be an exciting choice. It's not often that we see TV shows shift perspectives entirely for a whole season.

Is Fear Street: Prom Queen worth streaming on Netflix?

Fear Street: Prom Queen is now streaming on Netflix and, despite really enjoying the other films in the franchise, this one fell quite flat for me. One of my favorite things about movies like this are the kills, but unfortunately there is only one really good one in Prom Queen. The main actors in this movie are great, but the rest leave something to be desired. At least it is a quick watch, and free to stream if you have Netflix, so check it out yourself, just don't go in with high expectations.

Is Avengers: Doomsday's release being pushed back a good or a bad thing?

Avengers: Doomsday has moved from May 5 to December 18, 2026, and, to be honest, I think this is a smart move by Disney. I like the idea of Marvel having more time to tell the story that they want to tell, and for the visual effects team to have more time to pull it off. They are in production right now, but having less than a year to create something that is sure to be extremely large scale had me worried. This sets my mind at ease. I can wait a little longer if it means having better results.

I know it's an impossible question, but what's your all-time favorite Beatles song?

There are so many iconic Beatles songs, but I'd have to pick "In My Life" as my all-time favorite. "Rubber Soul" was one of the first vinyl albums, so not only does this song hold a powerful emotional place in my heart, but I also just find it to be endlessly beautiful. It never loses its appeal or its ability to make my heart heavy, and I don't think it's talked about enough as other classics.

Did the live-action Lilo & Stitch change too much from the animated version?

Despite both Stitch and Lilo capturing the same energy of the original animated film, the live-action Lilo & Stitch made a lot of changes, including cutting or altering a lot of fan favorite scenes and changing the ending. I personally much prefer the end of the animated movie over this new live-action version. Without spoilers, the new one is a little bit depressing. I also was really sad at the alterations to the Pudge and Mertle scenes. Those annoyed me the most. That said, it is still an adorable film, and the best of Disney's live-action remakes.

Does the world really need a Clash of Clans animated show?

The Netflix Clash of Clans show was one of the more surprising headlines of the day to me. I'm not entirely opposed to it, I'm just curious about who the audience will be. If it's going to be geared toward children, I hope there's some thought and heart put into it, rather than just using the IP for something cheap. I suppose that's always my concern when a project is attached to a recognizable brand or title, and it's not exclusive to Clash of Clans.

Is Lex Luthor holding Superman a prisoner in the DCU movie trailer by using kryptonite?

In the Superman movie trailer, we see David Corenswet being hit by robots as he is put into prison. Later, he breaks through the reinforced glass. I believe that the reason Lex Luthor could imprison the character — it has to be Lex who locked him away — was by forcing Metamorpho to create kryptonite to keep the hero weak. We see Metamorpho sitting in Superman's cell with a glowing green hand, and the character's powers allow him to transmute his body into several elements and forms. This explains why the robots can hurt Superman.
