As a longtime fan of the games, the <em>Sonic the Hedgehog </em>movie and TV franchise have really done a great job of bringing the heart, humor and energy of their source materials to the screen, while doing just enough new to keep things feeling fresh and surprising. That being said, with <em>Sonic the Hedgehog 4 </em>currently in the works, I really do hope it finally explores one side of the franchise that I've wanted more of, which is the cosmic side of the universe. The first three movies featured brief bits in space and on different planets for plot reasons, but the majority of the action has been on Earth, and I'd love for the next movie to put Sonic and his friends in an environment none of them are familiar with, especially with the arrival of Amy Rose.
