Losing three key characters leaves a noticeable gap on Chicago Fire, and though Violet's love interest leaving the show isn't as big as losing main characters, things are changing within the team dynamics and emotional core of the show. While Chicago Fire has weathered cast changes before, this feels more jarring. Losing Carver & Ritter isn't ideal, in my opinion, and moving forward, the show either has to reinvent itself or risk losing the spark that made it so compelling in the beginning.
