Despite Tim Allen being a massive sitcom star in the '90s, leading the cast of Home Improvement, his latest show <em>Shifting Gears</em> isn't doing well with critics. I've watched a few episodes so far and I'm not massive on the show, but I do think that some of the negative reviews are being overly harsh. However, I do agree that it doesn't offer anything new to the world of sitcoms and that the show's overall structure and plot feels old and a bit cliché.
