With Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 flopping, it's easy to say in retrospect that he made the wrong choice in leaving Yellowstone. However, I think if he was that ionate about the project, he was right to see it through. No matter how they turn out, the film world needs such serious ion projects. Had he waited for Yellowstone to conclude, though, it might've been better on all fronts. He would've completed the TV series by now, and maybe leaving on a less tumultuous note could've led to an ultimately better-received film.
