Netflix just announced singer and actor Sabrina Carpenter’s first holiday special, A Nonsense Christmas, to be released on December 6. Sabrina Carpenter has had a great year, with the success of songs like Espresso, Please Please Please, and Taste. She also has a fun holiday EP called fruitcake, which will be the focus of the special. I’m excited to see what else she sings and the special guests that Netflix has yet to reveal.

Steven Yeun missed out on Sentry, but who else could he play in the MCU?

Steven Yeun was initially cast as Sentry in Thunderbolts*, though scheduling issues resulted in Lewis Pullman getting the role instead. However, Yeun has said he still wants to the MCU at some point in the future. If that does happen, I think he'd be perfect as Mister Negative, the major New York crime boss and Spider-Man villain.

Fear Street: Prom Queen has one big problem for me.

After nearly four years of waiting for it to return, Fear Street: Prom Queen has brought the franchise back, and I have mixed feelings overall. As a slasher, it's a broadly fun time, and I do love the cast in the movie. Ultimately, though, my biggest problem is how disconnected it feels from the previous trilogy. Its visual design feels so different to the point of looking bland, especially when flashbacks to the other movies are used, and the lack of references to Sarah Fier really left me underwhelmed, given how the original trilogy really highlighted that Shadyside's problems stem from her and the Goode family. Plus, the attempt to tie it back in with the creation of a new witch's mark in the mid-credits feels kind of lazy more than intriguing. I hope that if another movie is made, they bring it back to the cliffhanger teased in Part 3: 1666's post-credits.

I honestly love the theory that Godzilla x Kong: Supernova's title secretly revealed its villain.

The Monsterverse thus far has pitted both Godzilla and Kong against a number of exciting foes, both new and classic, and while I wish they would get separate movies again, I am certainly excited for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. While plot details are under wraps, I did see a theory that the recently revealed title treatment for the movie looks to have pointed to Gigan being its main villain, and I absolutely love the idea. To begin with, this would continue the franchise's embracing of not taking itself too seriously, but would also finally give the franchise a more Godzilla-focused story, something I've felt has been missing after focusing more on Kong the past three movies.

Is Avengers: Doomsday's release being pushed back a good or a bad thing?

Avengers: Doomsday has moved from May 5 to December 18, 2026, and, to be honest, I think this is a smart move by Disney. I like the idea of Marvel having more time to tell the story that they want to tell, and for the visual effects team to have more time to pull it off. They are in production right now, but having less than a year to create something that is sure to be extremely large scale had me worried. This sets my mind at ease. I can wait a little longer if it means having better results.

Should the MCU set up a Taskmaster successor after her death in Thunderbolts*?

Taskmaster's death in Thunderbolts* was both one of the most expected and talked-about reveals to come from the film, particularly given how powerful of a villain they are in the comics, and how quickly they were taken out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is a theory, however, swirling that the MCU could set up a successor for the character in the form of O-T Fagbenle's Rick Mason, who was also introduced in Black Widow, and I feel like this would only work if he was corrupted by somebody into becoming the villain like Olga Kurylenko's Antonia Dreykov. Despite having no allegiances, Mason was clearly a friend of Scarlett Johansson's Natasha, and while he had other elements that make him a good fit for the title, I'd be afraid this would go against what was previously established.

Is Final Destination: Bloodlines the best Final Destination movie?

Final Destination: Bloodlines has brought the franchise back to life with rave reviews from both critics and audiences. While I absolutely love this movie, it is hard for me to say that it is the best of them for one reason - the first Final Destination was so unique and exciting when it was released. I think that the opening sequence for Final Destination: Bloodlines is the best one, and all of the deaths are at the top of the ranking, no doubt about it, but the first one will always hold a special place in my heart. It is similar to how I think the first Scream will always be the best because it was the introduction for what is to come.

How does Ryan Reynolds' R-rated Star Wars idea sound?

Honestly, I'm glad that Ryan Reynolds' R-rated Star Wars movie isn't happening. While I'm encouraged by his idea of not wanting to use too many legacy characters, I feel like my biggest issue with his movies is that every character he plays is essentially the same as his Deadpool. If there's going to be an R-rated Star Wars film, I'd rather it not just be the usual Ryan Reynolds humor.

While I like the new Street Fighter movie cast, please don't let one of them be Ken.

After a change in the creative team behind the film, the Street Fighter movie adaptation is back on track with Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo and Roman Reigns all being cast. While I do like them all for the film, I honestly hope that Centineo is not going to be Ken or Ryu, as I just don't really see him fitting the part. Instead, I'd love to see him play Guile, while Koji could play Ru, Momoa as either M. Bison or Akuma, and Reigns as Zangief.

Should Lilo & Stitch have brought back Ving Rhames for Cobra Bubbles?

When they announced Cobra Bubbles would be played by Courtney B. Vance in lieu of Ving Rhames in the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie, I can't deny I had mixed opinions, as I love Vance as an actor, but the role felt so tailor-made for Rhames, and he still looks just like the character that I was a bit disappointed. Having now seen the film, I think the decision to swap out the actors does kind of work, as Vance's version of Cobra feels less suave and just as duty-focused as he is curious and sympathetic that, while Rhames could still have captured these layers, it would have been just as odd for me to see him reprise his character with a completely different personality.

Does the Michael Jackson biopic need to be split into two movies?

Of course, I have no idea what type of story they're telling with these movies, and I'm just basing my opinion on other recent musician biopics, but I'm not sure how I feel about this being two movies. There are thousands of stories to tell regarding the life of Michael Jackson, but this feels like The Deathly Hallows or Mockingjay being split into two movies. I'm iffy on the choice, but I'm also generally not a fan of this subgenre.

Did the live-action Lilo & Stitch change too much from the animated version?

Despite both Stitch and Lilo capturing the same energy of the original animated film, the live-action Lilo & Stitch made a lot of changes, including cutting or altering a lot of fan favorite scenes and changing the ending. I personally much prefer the end of the animated movie over this new live-action version. Without spoilers, the new one is a little bit depressing. I also was really sad at the alterations to the Pudge and Mertle scenes. Those annoyed me the most. That said, it is still an adorable film, and the best of Disney's live-action remakes.

Is Superman being weak in the DCU movie a sign that James Gunn understands him?

James Gunn's Superman movie trailers have repeatedly shown David Corenswet's Superman getting beaten up and bleeding. While Superman is usually shown to be an extremely powerful hero who can't be hurt by much, I think Gunn is using this shocking move to show us how he understands the character. By giving Superman so many adversities, Clark Kent's humanity comes out more, and since that is truly the best part of the Man of Steel — his desire to do good and help others with his immense powers — James Gunn's Superman movie is on point.

If you could pick any Elseworlds movie or television series, what woudl it be?

Beyond The Batman trilogy and the Joker movies, DC Studios has claimed it's dedicated to making more Elseworlds projects existing outside of the primary DCU continuity. If I had to choose, I would love to see either an animated or live-action Batman Beyond project, or a project based on the comics' recent Absolute Universe.

Tony Todd's emotional scene in Final Destination: Bloodlines feels like a goodbye to his fans.

Tony Todd's last film is Final Destination: Bloodlines, and his appearance was absolutely devastating for his fans. Not only was it very clear he was sick by looking at how skinny he was, the words he spoke came off as a goodbye. Apparently his speech was improv, which does not surprise me at all, as he truly seems to be saying that he knows he is dying and has made his peace with it. He says he is going to spend time with family and live his life to the fullest until he es. I am glad that he was able to leave a message for those that loved his work so dearly.

It's been pretty incredible to see the petitions and rallying online to make Star Wars: Battlefront 3 a reality. While it's pretty rare to see the Star Wars fandom so unified and even some former devs have spoken out about wanting to make something happen, it does still seem like the odds are still pretty low to me.
