Warning: Contains SPOILERS for The Immortal Thor #19! There are few characters in Marvel Comics, hero or villain, who have the power to challenge Thor an Avenger, literally one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but he’s also the King of Asgard who inherited the All-Power from his father, Odin. Thor was already insanely powerful as the God of Thunder alone, but now that the All-Power flows through his divine veins, it seems no one can stop him - no one, but his own son.
In a preview for The Immortal Thor #19 (by Al Ewing, Jan Bazaldua, CAFU, Dan Jurgens, David Baldeón, Gavin Guidry, Gleb Melnikov, and Humberto Ramos), Lady Sif is standing on the Rainbow Bridge, greeting the son of Thor as he approaches the Bifrost: Magni. Magni is the offspring of Thor and Enchantress, but even though his mother is a known Marvel villain, Magni makes it clear that his allegiance lies with his father.
Meanwhile, Enchantress sits in her lair, watching her son speak with Lady Sif, thinking about the plot she has concocted to destroy Thor and steal his power. Enchantress comments on the fact that Magni’s allegiance doesn’t matter in the slightest, as her plan goes beyond the need for her son’s direct involvement. Enchantress plans to orchestrate Thor’s death so the All-Power will be inherited by his son, and then, she will murder her own son in the hopes that the All-Power will then to his only living parent: Enchantress.
Thor’s Son May Be His Greatest Threat, but the True Evil Mastermind is Enchantress
Enchantress is Orchestrating Thor’s Downfall, & She’s Using Her Own Son to Do It
Thor’s son is perhaps his greatest threat not only because he stands to siphon the All-Power upon Thor’s death, but because Magni is the spawn of one of the mightiest gods of Asgard (the mightiest, as it stands currently), and one of the most powerful sorceresses in the universe. Even with the All-Power, Magni might be able to kill Thor with his bare hands, only to become more powerful upon his death by claiming the All-Power for himself.
Thankfully, as this preview makes clear, Magni is not interested in harming his father. However, that doesn’t mean he’s not still a threat, it just means that someone else is perhaps a greater one: Enchantress. If Enchantress has her way and kills Thor before killing her own son, then she stands to claim the All-Power - making her one of the most terrifyingly powerful villains in the Marvel Universe.
There’s 1 Problem with Enchantress’ Plan: Magni Isn’t Thor’s Son (Not THIS Thor, Anyway)
Magni Isn’t from Earth-616, His Home Universe is Earth-3515
Enchantress’ plan seems sound, and even if it doesn’t work, Thor and his son will still be dead, which is a definite win (even if she has to suffer the loss of losing a son). But, there is just one potential problem: Magni isn’t this Thor’s son. Magni is the son of the versions of Thor and Enchantress from Earth-3515, meaning the versions of his parents from Earth-616 aren’t even related to him at all. Therefore, it’s not guaranteed that Magni will inherit the All-Power upon Thor’s death, which means it will be out of Enchantress’ grasp as well.

Thor Has a New Sidekick And Honestly? Marvel Needs to Give Them a Bit More Credit
As she assembles the New Champions, Thor’s lost sidekick displays an incredible power set that proves her god-level potential in Marvel Comics.
But, as previously mentioned, Enchantress’ plan is kind of a win-win, because even if she doesn’t get the All-Power, at least two powerful gods who view her as an enemy will be out of the picture. Either way, Thor is in grave danger in his storyline, and his son is being used as the ultimate weapon against him.

Associated with the mythical realm of Asgard, Thor is a Marvel Comics hero who channels the power of thunder to slay their foes. Though the name is chiefly tied to Thor Odinson, several other characters also take on the role of God of Thunder, including Odinson's love interest, Jane Foster. Odin is portrayed as a physically imposing hero with incredible strength and typically wields the dwarven forged hammer, Mjolnir.
