Warning: This post contains spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder.

Love and Thunder's main castLove and Thunder showcases a Thor seeking meaning after the many changes in his life and the loss of almost everyone dear to him. By the film's finale, Thor finds something more meaningful than he anticipated: a child to care for and raise, who knows him affectionately as "Uncle Thor."

Love and Thunder chronicles Thor's quest for meaning alongside the revelation that Jane Foster has taken up Mjölnir and is now known as "The Mighty Thor." With sparks flying between the two and a townful of Asgardian children to save, they team up at peril of their own lives, along with King Valkyrie and Korg, to recover New Asgard's kids from Gorr the God Butcher. Gorr, for his part, has only become what he is because of misplaced faith in a god who didn't save him or his daughter when famine and disaster stuck. In the ending of Thor: Love and Thunder, Gorr is granted one wish from the entity known as Eternity and he uses it to bring his daughter back to life, even though he knows he will not live to be with her.

Gorr's daughter — identified by the nickname "Love" — is played by Chris Hemsworth's daughter, India Rose Hemsworth. This may come as no surprise given the natural chemistry the two share on screen for the brief scene in which they interact. India Rose isn't the only child of Love and Thunder's main cast to feature in the film, nor is she Hemsworth's only child that appears in Love and Thunder.

Thor: Love & Thunder Used More Than One Actor's Kids

Taika Waititi, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, and Chris Hemsworth all had children that were featured in Thor: Love and Thunder. Most portrayed numbers of the Asgardian children that were abducted by Gorr. However, Hemsworth's sons, Sasha and Tristan, played two young versions of Thor shown briefly toward the film's start. Of course, India Rose Hemsworth had the biggest role of all the children, playing Love and Thunder.

Many of the stars' children were also utilized in a novel way: they helped design the shadow monsters that Gorr calls up using the Necrosword. After being inspired by a conversation with one of his daughters, Waititi had his daughters draw what they thought the monsters would look like, then reached out to the Love and Thunder cast and asked that they do the same. The pictures drawn by their children were used as concept art to create the shadow monsters seen in Thor: Love and Thunder.

With Love and Thunder being such a family outing for its cast and crew, it's no wonder that everyone in the film seems to be having such a good time. It's not yet certain what the future holds for Thor and Love or whether there will be any direct sequels to Love and ThunderThor: Love and Thunder's all-star cast — and many of their children — can be seen in theaters now.
