The God of Thunder, the loss of Mjolnir in an issue of Avengers: Forever, which will see "the most broken" version of Thor struggle to get revenge for the loss of his home.
As the son of Odin and the mightiest warrior in all of Asgard, Thor never needed much more in of power boosts. Hist trusted hammer, Mjolnir, is perhaps the most feared weapon in the Ten Realms, and Thor's lineage allows him to summon and control the power of any storm. The Iron Fist, on the other hand, is a "living weapon" from the mystical city of K'un-Lun, the greatest source of Chi energy on the planet. This flows from the heart of the immortal dragon Shou-Lao, which every Iron Fist candidate has to defeat bare-handed to earn the title and power, and allows its s to greatly augment the strength of their bodies. Gaining the Iron Fist requires discipline and rigorous training in the martial arts of the legendary K'un-Lun, something that seems very hard to do for the usually brash and impatient God of Thunder.
In the pages of Avengers: Forever, Jason Aaron has been exploring the consequences that the ruthless conquest of Earths at the hands of the Masters of Evil is having for the Multiverse. Entire worlds are falling under the heels of these merciless tyrants, and Avengers: Forever #8 - by Jason Aaron and Aaron Kuder - will show one of these realities, focusing on its Thor, who has survived the destruction of Asgard and the devastation of Midgard. Marvel Comics' solicitation for this issue shows that the God of Thunder, now unworthy to lift Mjolnir, will resort to another powerful weapon to get his revenge: the Iron Fist.

Early in the course of his current Avengers run, Jason Aaron introduced the idea of the "Earth's great powers", a group of so-called legacy powers that are ed down throughout generations of heroes to ensure the protection of planet Earth. Both Thor and Iron Fist's legacies are part of this group, as Odin and the very first Iron Fist were of the Prehistoric Avengers, the first assembly of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The idea that a Thor who became unworthy and is unable to lift his hammer (something that also happened in Aaron's long and acclaimed run on Thor) would find refuge in K'un-Lun and train there to acquire the power of the Iron Fist is incredibly interesting. Previously, Marvel gave Wolverine the powers of Iron Fist, so it's not unprecedented for an Avenger. Thor usually fights more with brute force than skill (and a hammer is certainly not a weapon built for finesse), so if he is able to master the discipline required to learn the martial arts of K'un-Lun he will unlock a whole new level of power. Curiously enough, K'un-Lun martial arts master is called the Thunderer, which is also one of Thor's nicknames.
The unworthy Thor has been a major component of the success of Jason Aaron's take on Thor, and Marvel will further explore this concept using the chances provided by the Multiverse. On the other hand, connecting the God of Thunder to the Iron Fist - and to its martial arts themes - is something completely new and it will surely make this version of Thor unique and interesting.
