The final episodes of Netflix's Money Heist are scheduled to be released on December 3rd, 2021. It's an event that fans are both looking forward to and kind of dreading, as it will conclude the incredible story but then likely leaving a void in their lives. Luckily, there are many heist-themed movies and TV shows that can help ease the pain of the absence.

Updated on October 16th, 2021 by Mark Birrell: With action, drama, and twists throughout, it's no wonder why Money Heist has become such a popular hit for Netflix. The streaming service also has a number of other outstanding examples of binge-worthy crime shows, not to mention heist movie classics that have informed the genre. Other major streaming services have their fair share of heist hits that fans should also check out if they have subscriptions.

Heat (1995)

• Available on Starz

A milestone in the development of heist movies that saw the powerhouse presences of The Godfather Part II.

Heat fast became a blueprint for all following heist thrillers to follow with its striking visual style and famously intense shootouts. Money Heist fans should consider it essential viewing if they wish to know more about the development of the heist genre on screen.

Inside Man (2006)

Denzel Washington talking to a masked man during the heist in Inside Man

• Available on Peacock

Another movie that splits the viewpoint of a daring heist between the cops and the criminals, Inside Man follows a prolonged bank robbery where the thieves take hostages, causing Denzel Washington's negotiator to step in and try to mediate the situation.

Besides an all-time great twist in the ingenious heist plan, Money Heist fans will enjoy the drama from the hugely talented ensemble cast as well as all of their characters' intersecting stories and the fascinating history that motivates some of them. The handling of the hostages is something that's also echoed in the first parts of Money Heist's story.

Catch Me If You Can (2002)

This Spielberg classic will provide the audience with a masterclass on the essentials of con artistry and criminal planning. The biographical film based around the life of Frank Abagnale not only entertains but takes viewers directly into the life of a con artist.

The audience never knows what's coming next in this film. Those who loved the intelligent undermining of the authorities in Money Heist will certainly love the fraudulence and embezzling storyline of Catch Me If You Can.

White Lines (2020)

Two characters standing in the street in White Lines

• Available on Netflix

Like Money Heist, White Lines was created by Álex Pina, so the same level of quality can be enjoyed throughout this series. White Lines might be one of the newer shows on Netflix, but it quickly made its mark with overwhelmingly positive reviews.

This series focuses on Zoe, who is trying to learn more about her brother's random disappearance 20 years prior. The show moves between the past and present, presenting a cool dynamic that Money Heist fans will be able to appreciate, especially considering how gripping and painstakingly detailed the narrative itself is.

The A-Team (2010)

The team plan around a table in The A-Team (2010)

• Available on Tubi and Prime Video

Based on the classic action-adventure TV show, The A-Team follows the lives of a group of former US Special Forces as they are accused of a crime they did not commit. They are ultimately sentenced to jail but later find ways to free themselves and set the record straight, but doing so in ways that are not so legal.

With scheming, misdirection, and elaborate prison breakouts galore, The A-Team is an unusually huge blockbuster based all around heists and running from the law.

Logan Lucky (2017)

Daniel Craig stands in the tunnel with the Logan brothers in Logan Lucky (2017)

• Available on Hulu

Logan Lucky is a great choice for Money Heist fans who still want something heist-related but need a lighter tone, so it may be a good go-to right after viewing the finale if viewers are still feeling a little emotional.

The story follows two brothers who resolve themselves to rob the local speedway, an ambitious job for two would-be criminals who aren't looking to use violence to get what they need but are willing to go as far as going to prison to break out Daniel Craig's explosives expert. The hilarious ensemble evokes all the most likable qualities of Money Heist's characters, especially their rebellious streaks.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)

• Available on Netflix

As far as popular modern crime shows go, few have ever reached the same level of acclaim as Breaking Bad, which shows just how far lies and criminal scheming can go when a mild-mannered chemistry teacher decides to dabble in the illegal world of methamphetamine manufacturing.

Breaking Bad is not only known for its engaging story but for its compelling protagonist, Walter White; a regular man who turns into a mastermind in the drug trade. The show may not revolve around heists most of the time, but both Walter White and The Professor have a lot in common and fans of the show can expect to experience the same sort of thrills experienced in Money Heist here.

Tower Heist (2011)

Matthew Broderick, Casey Affleck, Ben Stiller, Michael Pena and Eddie Murphy standing outside in Tower Heist (2011)

• Available on Peacock

Tower Heist follows the life of Josh Kovacs, played by Ben Stiller, a manager of an upscale NYC apartment complex known as ‘The Tower’.  Despite being a hardworking and loyal worker, Kovacs and the other Tower employees find themselves scammed of their life savings due to the actions of one of The Tower's wealthiest investors.

Kovacs and the rest of the employees decide to take matters into their own hands by plotting a heist into the investors' apartment and simultaneously take audiences on thrilling comedic rides towards a path of revenge and justice. This 2011 comedy/heist drama is a must-watch for the fans of Money Heist's more comedic thrills.

Evil Genius (2018)

Faces of suspects in Evil Genius

• Available on Netflix

Evil Genius is very different from Money Heist in the sense that this is a documentary that's focused on a real-life case — the murder of Brian Wells. This case gives a glimpse into the reality of a bank robbery heist and how things are actually done.

The 'Collar Bomb Case' lies at the center of this incredible four-part documentary and, while it isn't a shiny and well-polished drama, its subject matter should be of great interest to Money Heist fans.

Wrath of Man (2021)

Jason Statham stars as H in director Guy Ritchie's WRATH OF MAN, A Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures film.

• Available for purchase on Prime Video

Fans of Money Heist's darker edge should definitely check out this methodical heist/revenge movie that sees a mysterious figure infiltrate an armored car company to lie in wait for the hijackers who wronged him.

Jason Statham is fittingly electrifying in his first on-screen collaboration with director Guy Ritchie for over 15 years and the fact that this movie is also a remake of a 2004 French feature named Cash Truck means that it has plenty of that European style of grit running throughout it.
