Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski). But the Prime Video adaptation of the Robert Jodan and Brandon Sanderson stories has also kept one eye on its future, bringing in new pivotal characters and expanding the story's scope en route to becoming one of the long-running fantasy dramas on streaming.
In an interview with WTHR, Pike addressed whether the adaptation will return for season 4. The actor, an Oscar nominee for her performance in Gone Girl, said that Prime Video hasn't yet renewed season 4. However, she remains hopeful that a renewal will happen, saying that Amazon and co-production company Sony Pictures Television are “incredibly lucky” to work on a unique property like The Wheel of Time. Read the quote below:
“Well, we hope. It’s in the hands of Amazon at the moment. They haven’t yet greenlit Season 4. It’s a big show for them, but as I keep saying, there’s no other property like ‘The Wheel of Time’ out there available. There are very few of these truly global fantasy IPs, and Amazon and Sony are incredibly lucky to have this one.
"I really hope that we get to continue this journey because the fans deserve it, the books deserve it, and our actors deserve it.”
What A Renewal Would Mean For The Wheel Of Time
There Is One Chart To Watch For
Prime Video doesn't release viewership data, except to boast if a new show has broken records with its debut. Because of this, it's hard to track how any given series is doing from one week to the next and properly weigh the chances of a renewal. Nielsen's Top 10 Streaming charts, however, offer a general outlook on which shows are doing well.

All 15 Wheel Of Time Books, Ranked Worst To Best
Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book series contains 14 novels and a prequel, making it worthwhile to rank all the books from worst to best.
The Wheel of Time has delivered solid numbers on the Nielsen charts in the past, generating over a billion minutes viewed based on its first three episodes. It was, at the time, one of Prime Video's biggest launches. The numbers for season 2 were down in comparison, though still solid enough to get a renewal. Viewership for the first three episodes of season 3, which were dropped together on March 13, will be shared publicly by Nielsen in the coming weeks and should offer an indication of whether The Wheel of Time cast will return for another installment.
Our Take On Whether The Wheel of Time Will Be Renewed
Cost Versus Value
There are still a lot of audiences who don't fully know about the calculations that go into renewing a big-budget fantasy series. The streamer has been under the microscope for big and flashy projects that haven't resulted in huge viewership. The adaptation from executive producer Rafe Judkins has found a very sturdy and reliable audience. Deeper into the year, perhaps once the third installment wraps up, we'll see how things shake out for The Wheel of Time season 4.
The Wheel of Time season 3 concludes on April 17 on Prime Video.
