Taylor Swift's song is about a relationship that feels fragile - like there is always something about to go wrong that could ruin it. And this is a perfect description of Caroline and Tyler's relationship. While they were one of the biggest couples on the show, there was always something just waiting to go wrong.
From their star-crossed love between a vampire and a werewolf (his bite could literally kill her) to other problems that seemed to plague their relationship (Tyler being exiled from Mystic Falls), they could never quite get to be happy. Eventually, that was just the thing that ended them.
Caroline & Klaus - "Wildest Dreams"
"He's so tall and handsome as hell / He's so bad but he does it so well / I can see the end as it begins."
Their relationship was doomed from the start, but that did not stop the sparks from flying everywhere when they were on screen together. Despite Klaus often being considered "The Great Evil", he seemed to care deeply about her and also seemed to bring out a side of her nobody else quite could.
One of their most beautiful moments is when Klaus provides Caroline with a dress for the ball they're attending, and they share a dance as well. This scene is very reminiscent of the line "Say you'll me standing in a nice dress" from this song.
Bonnie & Jeremy - "Should've Said No"

Jeremy and Bonnie's relationship went through a lot of ups and downs, with both of them actually dying at some point in the show, but one of the biggest lows was when Jeremy cheated on Bonnie with Anna's ghost. This ultimately broke Bonnie's heart, and despite them getting back together later on, this question the song poses is very in character for them.
There is a very relatable line in the song that also screams Bonnie and Jeremy: "But do you honestly expect me to believe we could ever be the same?" While this is a valid concern, Bonnie and Jeremy did get back together after and were very happy for a time.
Stefan & Katherine - "My Tears Ricochet"

Katherine Pierce and Stefan's relationship was very complicated, and it's obvious Stefan loved Katherine a lot even though she turned his life upside down. Despite both Damon and Stefan experiencing only one side of Katherine's devious personality, it did often seem she actually cared about Stefan beyond just an obsession, it just wasn't in her nature to care about anyone but herself. But it was clear that Stefan was in love with Katherine, and he didn't deserve the things she did to him.
Also the line "You had to kill me, but it killed you just the same" can be interpreted quite literally in their case since Stefan sacrificed himself to kill her and save his brother. There is a line "I didn't have it in myself to go with grace", which could also describe Katherine's inability to repent for any of the damage she's done, and highjacking Elena's body just before she dies.
Stefan & Caroline - "Everything Has Changed ft. Ed Sheeran (Taylor's Version)"
"If you could see that I'm the one / Who understands you / Been here all along / So, why can't you see? / You belong with me."
When The Vampire Diaries started, Stefan's made it crystal clear that he and Caroline weren't going to happen. After all, he only had eyes for Elena in the beginning. Despite that, they developed an unusual friendship and Stefan mentored Caroline after she became a vampire, helping her adjust to the new lifestyle.
Because of that, there was always an understanding between them that was stronger than Stefan and Elena's ever was. They were there for each other in their darkest moments, and after Stefan's heart was broken, she was the first to really put it back together.
Bonnie & Enzo - "Daylight"
"There are so many lines that I've crossed unforgiven / I'll tell you the truth, but never goodbye"
For Enzo, Bonnie was like daylight after a 20-year dark night. His whole life people abandoned him and left him, and the way he said it, he had "a century of pain and loneliness" before he found her and shared three wonderful years with her. Despite not always being the best person, he became a better man because of her.
"And I can still see it all (In my mind) / All of you, all of me (Intertwined)" is a line that definitely also fits into the time after Enzo dies and Bonnie is left ing their love, having to move forward without him. They were widely considered to be each other's epic loves and one of the best TVD couples.
Damon & Katherine - "Don't Blame Me"
"Don't blame me, love made me crazy / If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right."
Damon has been known to do crazy things in the name of love, and Katherine sadly only exacerbated his craziness. Toying with both Salvatore brothers, Katherine broke their friendship by pitting them against each other. Damon spent centuries pining over Katherine, going to extreme lengths to recover when he thought she was locked in the tomb.
Taylor's song is about love, making you a little crazy, maybe doing things you wouldn't usually do, describing it as a drug. Damon loved Katherine fiercely, almost obsessively, and learning she never loved him back ruined him more than anything. It took centuries to find someone who was able to put his heart back together, and the fact that she also happened to have Katherine's face is just an irony of a lifetime.
Stefan & Elena - "Haunted"

The ending of Stefan and Elena's relationship was in part due to him turning off his humanity. While she never lost hope of getting him back and did the impossible to make it happen, she also leaned heavily on Damon during this period, and it was the beginning of their story.
"Haunted" is a song that describes perfectly how Elena felt during those moments when she realized the love he felt for her and all humanity in him was gone. There is even a line in the song "Something's made your eyes go cold", which could be a metaphor for Stefan losing his humanity.
Damon & Elena - "This Love"

Damon and Elena were without a doubt the most epic couple on The Vampire Diaries. Their relationship started from hate, which grew into friendship, which then grew into an epic love that survived many things, like Elena turning into a vampire, being sired to him, Damon dying, and coming back.
Their love story at times was messed up and flawed, but it also had a lot of amazing moments that fans loved to see. And when Damon died in the season 5 finale, the audience got to see Elena grieving and having to let go, thinking the love of her life was gone. But Damon came back to her (literally from the dead), and they overcame every obstacle that stood in the way of their happy-ever-after.
