One of the many endings that can be unlocked in The Quarry comes from infecting everyone in the game. Fans who have already completed The Quarry know that a series of werewolf attacks infect a couple of camp counselors during every playthrough, regardless of the decisions made during each chapter. Similarly, the only way to save those who have turned into werewolves already is to kill the beast that infected the character directly, or by killing the werewolf that grandfathered in the wolf's blood.
Since the initial werewolves seen in The Quarry are part of the Hackett Family, their family will play a pivotal role in infecting all the camp counselors in the game. Additionally, some infections can only be achieved after failing a QTE, making them hidden outcomes that some players might have missed if they've been completing every decision. There are a lot of decisions that have to be made in order to infect everyone in The Quarry, which will also earn players the "Blood Pact" trophy/achievement.
How to Get Kaitlyn Infected in The Quarry
To infect Kaitlyn, the first choice that players will need to make is to have Dylan warn her from the crane that something is approaching their location. Kaitlyn will then hide in the car so the werewolf doesn't kill her in The Quarry, but it will jump on top of the car anyway. Select slam the car, and although Dylan will try to save Kaitlyn by shaking the car with the crane, she will fall out of it onto a pile of tires. This will grab the werewolf's attention, and as it approaches Kaitlyn be sure to fail the smash QTE that appears. Dylan will end up failing to drop the car, resulting in Kaitlyn being infected by the werewolf.
How to Get Abigail Infected in The Quarry
To infect Abigail, select the Try To Save Nick, Run, and Don't Climb the Tree options. After not climbing the tree, fail the next QTE after Abi hides in the small crevice to see a werewolf bite her.
How to Get Emma Infected in The Quarry
Emma can be infected in either Chapter 4 or Chapter 6. Regardless of which chapter players choose to infect Emma in, the decision will still lead to the character being infected and one of the best (or worst) endings in The Quarry. To infect Emma in Chapter 4, succeed all QTEs until Emma returns to the treehouse, then select the Block Door option. Next, select Trap Door and successfully complete the QTE, then fail the next one. Afterward, succeed in the next QTE, then fail the smash QTE to allow the werewolf to bite her leg. Succeed the next QTE to ensure her survival.
To infect Emma in Chapter 6, be sure that she does not pick up the extra fireworks around the firepit. Afterward, continue on through the woods until Emma reaches the hunters, who are talking about the werewolf they caught. After the hunters become distracted, select the option that allows Emma to run and her leg will be bitten by a second werewolf that has been lurking in the woods.
How to Get Dylan Infected in The Quarry
To infect Dylan, players will have to make decisions in multiple chapters to ensure this option is available for the camp counselor. In Chapter 1, both Abigail and Emma will need to break into the cabin to collect their bags. Then, in Chapter 5, Dylan will be forced to grab the wire that was previously disconnected by the werewolf. As he reaches the roof, Dylan's hand will be bitten by a werewolf. Afterward, Ryan will be given the option to cut off Dylan's hand in order to prevent his wolf blood from spreading. Select the Terrified decision to prevent Ryan from doing so, allowing Dylan's infection to spread.
How to Get Jacob Infected in The Quarry
There are multiple steps that players will need across multiple chapters to take to infect Jacob in The Quarry as well. In Chapter 3, after Jacob is knocked down due to the tripwire, one of the hunters will approach him. It doesn't matter which of the decisions Jacob makes next, but what does matter is that he throws dirt in the hunter's face. Jacob doesn't die here in The Quarry, but rather he gets away and can become infected thanks to this decision. Assuming that Emma has survived to be in Chapter 6, she and Jacob will be reunited and encounter a werewolf.
To infect Jacob, be sure to fail the first QTE on the wooden bridge.
Although the werewolf will bite Jacob's neck, he will survive the attack thanks to Emma. To survive the rest of Chapter 6, however, players will need to select Run and succeed in the interruption. Lastly, after Jacob steps into the bear trap, pry it open and the hunters will take Jacob away.
If players successfully complete the QTE on the bridge, they'll need to select the Run option to infect Jacob here as well. Fail the next QTE, and Jacob will be bitten by the werewolf. Jacob survives in The Quarry long enough for the infection to spread after Jedediah chases the werewolf away.
How to Get Ryan Infected in The Quarry
To infect Ryan in The Quarry, Laura will need to scare Bobby away after he catches up to Ryan. Laura will then offer to bite Ryan and infect him with the curse to prevent him from bleeding out. Ryan needs to accept Laura's offer, and cannot pull away during the interruption. To ensure players can reach this outcome, they'll need to have Ryan leave the knife in after being stabbed, refuse to stab Bobby, and have him fully accept being bitten by Laura.
Everyone Who Always Gets Infected in The Quarry
The three characters that will always be infected no matter what happens are Nick, Max, and Laura. During the game's prologue, Max is bitten by the werewolf Chris while exploring the Storm Shelter. In Chapter 3, Nick will always be attacked and bitten by Silas. Although players can choose to save or kill Nick in The Quarry, being bitten by Silas means that he can only be cured if Silas is killed by Laura at the end of the game. Lastly, Laura is always bitten by the infected Max after she returns to The Island, shortly after shooting Kaylee.
