Dwight Schrute is one of the most complicated characters on The Office. He's had some redeeming moments, but his career at Dunder Mifflin has also been rife with mistakes. Dwight has hidden an arsenal of weapons around the office: he's wiretapped Jim's phone, spied on employee emails, and so much more. It's hard to narrow down the worst of his gaffs to just ten, but here are some of the very worst things Dwight Schrute has done to at Dunder Mifflin Scranton.

Sleeping With An Engaged Woman

Dwight Schrute is a complicated guy. He spends an awful lot of time talking about honor and integrity, yet he operates in a lot of grey areas. Dwight's love for Angela is an unwavering fact on the show. Nothing she does seems to tarnish her reputation in his eyes. When she plans to marry Andy, Dwight is hardly put off. He continues to sleep with her any chance he gets. There's nothing honorable about the way he behaved. If you have feelings for someone in a relationship, it's best to be upfront.

Firing A Weapon In The Office

On the list of horrible, reckless mistakes you should never make at work, firing a live weapon should be at the top. Dwight endangered everyone at the office and damaged the building when he fired a loaded weapon in the office.

Dwight would like everyone to believe he's a paragon of self-control, but, more often than not, he fumbles his way through situations. Such was the case when he brought a loaded firearm to work. We can all learn from Dwight's irresponsibility.

Trying To Burn Down The Building

Safety preparedness is important. How you implement workplace training is just as important as what is discussed. Dwight staged a dangerous and irresponsible fire drill that sent the office into a panic and could have gotten someone hurt. Angela even threw a cat into the ceiling. Dwight's trash can fire was a real hazard that could have burned down the building. This is an important reminder that fire is not a toy and the office is not a campsite.

Half Ply Toilet Paper

Dwight has messed with a lot of things in the office, but interfering with proper bathroom hygiene took it one step too far. While Dwight was enjoying a temporary moment of control over his coworkers, his judgment became clouded by power. Dwight assigned his property manager the arduous task of separating the single plies of each roll of toilet paper.

Happy employees are productive employees. No one is happy with inadequate toilet paper. If you ever find yourself managing a workspace, don't forget to provide basic comforts.

Breaking The Chain Of Command

In a corporate environment organization is key to maintaining productivity. There are reasons management is structured the way it is. Breaking the chain of command throws important processes into chaos. Not to mention, upper management has a lot on its plate. They don't have time to field phone calls about mundane day to day issues. Dwight Schrute loves to go over his direct supervisor, and, sometimes, he even takes his petty issues directly to corporate. ing your place in an organization is an important career skill.

Non-Consensual Marriage

Marriage is a beautiful commitment between two people who want to build a life together. It should be entered into after both parties have discussed their relationship goals and expectations.

Dwight decided to skip all of that formality and simply trick Angela into marrying him. Under the ruse of helping her plan her wedding to Andy, Dwight completed an entire wedding ceremony without Angela's consent. When planning to marry the love of your life, make sure they're not only on the same page but aware of what's going on.

Firing Kevin

Kevin Malone tries to "save" a turtle in The Office

Kevin is like a friendly cat that's afraid of rodents. He's not good for much but he's still nice to have around. The final episode of the show Dwight is whisked away to a secret location during his bachelor party. It's Kevin Malone's bar. We learn that Dwight fired Kevin for being an inaccurate ant. Kevin may have been a poor ant but he was great for office morale. Firing him proved that Dwight didn't understand that a business is more thana bottom line. Never forget that profits aren't everything.

Killing Sprinkles

The only thing Angela loves more than Dwight is her colony of cats. Sprinkles was one of Angela's oldest and most beloved cats. Unfortunately, she came down with a laundry list of ailments, but Angela was there to nurse her back to health—or, more accurately, to at least keep her alive well past her prime. When Angela couldn't get home to ister Sprinkles' treatments, she thought she knew who she could trust. She called on Dwight. Dwight saw an animal suffering and put Sprinkles out of her misery. Let Dwight serve as a reminder that everyone has to learn to let go.

Taking The Snowball Fight Too Far

Dwight's snowman army in The Office

Jim and Dwight's rivalry was legendary. While Jim's antics were mostly harmless pranks, Dwight's retaliations could be downright insane. When Jim initiated a snow fight with Schrute, he had no idea what he was getting himself into.

Dwight relentlessly harassed Jim until he was overcome with paranoia. At one point, blood was even drawn when Dwight pelted Jim with a snowball full of ice. Dwight could have let it go but he took it even further by filling the entire parking lot with ominous snowmen.

Blowing Off Isabel

Isabel from The Office

Of all the mistakes Dwight ever made few were as puzzling as his dismissal of Isabell. So much of the show was spent building up tp Jim and Pam's wedding. When the big day finally came, Dwight and Mike were excited for their friends, but also at the prospect of meeting someone new. Dwight ended up getting close to Pam's friend Isabell. For reasons that no one may ever understand, Isabell fell for Dwight. Even more puzzling as his complete lack of interest in her. Dwight later realized he was interested, but it was too late.
