Paparazzo's Masked Singer Season 13 Premiere Night Performance & Clues

Paparazzo Has Many Famous Friends

During the Masked Singer season 13 premiere night, Paparazzo sang a spectacular version of "The Door" by Teddy Swims. His clue package began with him meeting his mask for the first time. When Paparazzo first saw his costume, he laughed and said, "Wow! I love these eyes, man!" He then said, "Becoming Paparazzo is perfect for me because, let's face it, the lens has been pointed in my direction my entire life." This referred to the fact that Matthew was a child star, along with his brothers, Joey and Andrew. In 1984, Matthew made his TV debut playing Danny Carrington on Dynasty at the age of four.

As Paparazzo walked in a movie theater lobby with movie posters with his name on them, he said, "And, while you've seen me do so many things in my career, the one thing I have never had a chance to do is sing on a big stage. Until now. And, honestly, I'm terrified." Paparazzo then turned on a filmstrip. Matthew has never sung on a big stage before.

As he said, "I mean, I've worked with the greats," Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, and Chris Farley were shown. Matthew starred in The Hot Chick, which was executive produced by Adam Sandler. Paparazzo continued that he "Took over the silver screen." He was then shown with a racecar. Paparazzo added, "And even took America's Sweetheart to prom." A "Home Sweet Home" welcome mat was then shown. Matthew took his Boy Meets World co-star, Danielle Fishel, to the prom. While she was playing Topanga on the show, she was one of America's sweethearts. In addition, the welcome mat referred to his first name.

Paparazzo went on to say, "But this? This is so far outside of my comfort zone, I'm kinda freaking out." When he said this, he was shown with a black Labrador retriever dog. "But I think that's the big reason to give it a try. And I know I'm not gonna be perfect, but, tonight, I'm digging deep. I'm putting my fears aside, and hopefully capturing your hearts." The dog was a reference to the 1998 film, Rusty: A Dog's Tale, in which Matthew provided the voice for the title character.
