unique creatures and grotesque abominations lurking in the darkness. Like its predecessor, it didn't fail to remind players of the terrifying monsters every step of the way while embracing the puzzle element as a key to a long-awaited happy ending.

Once STEM took his daughter, Seb is forced to deal with any apparition that comes in his way while also keeping a close track of any glue that is given to him. Although many of the monsters he comes across can be difficult to defeat, luckily there are a dozen of them that can be taken out in a blink of an eye.

The Lost

The Lost in The Evil Within 2

At the beginning of the game, right away, Seb gets familiar with the human-fungus monsters with blisters that are spread in most parts of their body. They are easy to kill and while wasting a few handgun bullets on them usually does the trick, they can also be attacked from behind, making things a lot quieter.

Usually, they stick in groups, and with glowing red eyes, any sudden movement can be easily spotted. Therefore, the best tactic is to crouch and perform a sneak attack by lurking them into a wanted area one by one.

Hysteric

Hysteric will frantically charge at Seb whenever it spots him with glowing red eyes. If not, then it is otherwise seen wandering around the Union while releasing creepy croaks and mindless sauntering in hopes to find the next victim if it spots any sudden movement.

Hysteric is considered as one of the Lost, and even though it is slightly harder to take them down with a handgun, it is the beloved shotgun that usually makes the difference. Being fairly easy to kill, one stab in the head and a few bullets will be the end of any Hysteric.

Albedo

While Seb is trying to find a way out of the Limbo, the main creatures he comes across are Albedo. The slimy white substance was created by Myra Hadson in an attempt to stop Sebastian from finally finding and saving his daughter Lily.

With a few noticeable variations, Albedo can grow an extra limb at a random part of their body thanks to the "psychoplasm," the substance they are made of. Thankfully, they are considered an easy target since their main weak spot is their head while typical attacks are unrolled with biting.

Harbinger

A Harbinger attacks

Once ordinary people, Harbingers are human-like creatures wearing rebreather masks that entirely cover their faces. Even though they are persistently holding a flame thrower with both hands and seem really intimidating and tough.

Their main flaw is their head, so forget about aiming at the fuel tank located on their back, and focus on getting those ideal headshots. That will bring more damage while hitting a fuel tank can only make them more furious and aggressive.

Effigy

Releasing the explosive Warden's bolts at Effigy can deal a huge amount of damage, making them an easy target. The Effigy is an abomination of two human-like bodies that are now molded together into a horrific sighting. They have been summoned by Myra Hanson as one of her many attempts to forcefully stop Seb from finding Lily.

Spawn

From a distance, they look like distorted dogs, crawling fast through the grass. But once you get closer, there is nothing dog-like about them. It's created from several human skeleton body parts and a few heads, with sharp and bloody teeth distinctly sticking out.

The main weakness is, in fact, their heads, which makes them a fairly simple kill (although the last head can be a bit hard to aim since it is hidden in between another two heads and a set of teeth).

Disciple

Once Father Theodore decided he wants his own type of the Lost, he created Disciple, equally horrifying but larger monsters to interfere in Sebastian's journey to save his daughter.

Disciples have a tendency of becoming unapproachable while instantly lighting their entire bodies on fire. With that being said, the main vulnerability is in their head, and with a few simple headshots, the great lava-man will fall flat to the ground.

Lament

Sebastian aims at Lament in The Evil Within 2

Found deep down in the Marrow, in the tunnel with flammable gas, one of the creepiest sights in the Evil Within 2 can be encountered. Lament is considered of several bodies fused together while making steps on very slim and shaky legs.

A few shotgun bullets can do justice to this abomination but be careful; if Lament spots Sebastian, those barely functioning legs will suddenly switch into a sprinting mode. Lament is known for its loud and unbearable screams so the best approach for an easy kill is to shoot as quickly and precisely as possible.

Obscura

Owning the first place when it comes to the incredible creature designs, Obscura is created by Stefano Valentini, and consists of three female ballerina legs and an old camera attached to its neck.

Combining his two ions, Obscura is meant to be a true vision of Stefano's state of mind and artistic skills. Being one of the easiest boss fights of the game, with a couple of persistent handgun bullets, Obscura will run for her life.
