Hollywood game show producer Mike Richards used to host Jeopardy!, but after some sketchy lawsuits from The Price Is Right employees began to surface, his stint ended - now, he's got a brand-new gig, as the CCO (Chief Creative Officer) of Daily Wire, a publication with a right-wing point of view, which offends some liberal readers. Mike's built an impressive career as an executive producer, despite his checkered past. However, the fact that he's going to be in a leadership position at a website accused of right-wing bias, as per Allsides, rubs some people the wrong way.

Mike was actually in talks to become the permanent host of Jeopardy!, an honor later granted to Jeopardy!'s Ken Jennings. However, his past came back to haunt him. He was accused of discriminating against a pregnant The Price Is Right employee, firing her while she was expecting. Another accused him of sexual harassment and wrongful termination.

Some Redditors Are Glad Mike Didn't Host Jeopardy! For Long

One Said They "Dodged A Bullet"

At a thread started by new season of Jeopardy! Masters airs. One Redditor expressed their opinion, saying:

Get canceled, go to far right media. Very common trend we’ve seen.

Another had this to say:

Crazy to think of how much of a bullet we dodged with him getting fired.

When Mike worked on The Price Is Right as an executive producer, there were other issues. Overall, he was painted as a not-so-nice man for allegedly insisting that series' female employees who appeared onstage should be scantily clad. For example, he wanted them in bikinis, which might have left them feeling too exposed.

Is Jeopardy Better Without Mike Hosting?

Most People Seem To Think So

Of course, he denied all wrongdoing, but the courts disagreed. When it came to the woman who was pregnant with twins, she was awarded $7 million in damages. That's a lot of damages - they really threw the book at him. So, in light of that, it might be best that he isn't hosting a game show known for its clean-cut and cerebral vibe.

Alex, who sadly ed away due to cancer, breaking America's heart, he really had to prove himself.

The Daily Wire Is Not A Liberal Publication

Its Readers Are Likely To Have Right-Wing Views

Elon Musk portrait over Twitter background

So, what kind of content is posted at the Daily Wire? Why does the publication inflame those who dislike right-wing thinking? A quick browse showed an article, "Elon Musk Rips Bill Gates Over Epstein Ties: ‘Wouldn’t Trust That Guy To Babysit My Kids," which makes Elon seem protective, although he's been accused of racism, as per a New York Times article. Elon heavily funded Trump's presidential campaign.

Gates, who was a ruthless businessman before evolving (he now gives away a LOT of money), funded Kamala Harris' doomed presidential campaign, to the tune of $50 million.

As the US election proved, many people do veer to the right. Donald Trump was elected. So, there's definitely a market for the type of thinking that Daily Wire pundits put out into the world. Mike probably shares the publication's views. It remains to be seen if there will be more backlash over his new gig, but controversy seems to follow the former Jeopardy! host wherever he goes.
