This summer, CBS premieres the new reality competition show, Love Island. The Challenge debuted in 1998 and is the longest running reality series in television history. Originally called Road Rules: All Starand then Real World/Road Rules Challenge, the show featured contestants from those two series competing against each other. The Challenge has since expanded to include cast from other reality shows as well.

Later this summer, MTV will air a docies titled The Challenge: Untold History, a six-part series about the history of The Challenge. The series will feature more than 30 of the show's most iconic competitors, including Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio, Wes Bergmann, Aneesa Ferreira, Mark Long, Chris "CT" Tamburello, Darrell Taylor, Laurel Stucky and Kam Williams. They will share behind-the-scenes stories about the franchise.

In a press release, features several of Big Brother season 23 including Azäh Awasum, Alyssa Lopez, Tiffany Mitchell, Kyland Young, Derek Xiao, and winner Xavier Prather. Also appearing from Big Brother are David Alexander (seasons, 21, 22), Enzo Palumbo (seasons 12, 22), and Angela Rummans (season 20). The Amazing Race cast include Cayla Platt (season 33), Leo Temory (seasons 23, 24, 31), and James Wallington who won season 32. Also competing on The Challenge: USA will be Love Island alumni from season one including Kyra Green and Cashel Barnett, season two contestants Cely Vazquez and winner Justine Ndiba, and, from season 3, Melvin "Cinco" Holland Jr., Cashay Proudfoot, Javonny Vega, and Shannon St. Clair.

Hosted by T.J. Lavin, The Challenge: USA debuts on Wednesday, July 6 with a special 90-minute premiere, beginning at 9:30 p.m. It will air The Challenge: Global Championship (working title), which will stream exclusively on Paramount+.

The cast of The Challenge: USA features some of the fiercest competitors from CBS reality television shows in recent memory. This show will put their physical, mental, and emotional abilities to the test, as they participate in challenges that will exhilarate fans. The Challenge: USA is sure to be one of the most exciting shows of the summer.
